16 years old: How do I deal with my frustration/anger?
I'm a sophomore in high school and i'm wondering if anybody knows how to deal with things that Really REALLY bug me. Also, how do I deal with my frustration/anger without exploding on everyone?
Additional Details
P.S = I do run track and field, so im definatly doing a sport, and yes that does help alot, i love to run.............

I have gone through it all. I get ticked off so easily it is not funny.

first, get out your physical loathing by the classic way...beat up your pillow. Pretend it is whoever is getting you angry or however would be in charge of it and cuss it out and just get your anger out.

When you've done your fill of that, write a letter to them and you can have unfair feelings or whatever.

Then on the back of the paper, write one major good thing about the place, person, idea, or whatever it was. Only one. Writing more than one is more than tough. Read it over once then throw it away.

If you still are feeling ticked, take a hot shower and you'll probably feel better by then.

If you can't do any of this stuff, suck it up until you can go home and do this. Always stick up for yourself, though.

if you get a strees ball or something soft that won't hurt anything and you can squeze it or just throught it at things as much as you want and as hard as you want and it will relive some of the tension that anger and frustration can cause so you will be able to think more rastionaly. Also if you get mad at somebody you can type a letter thats really mean just to get the anger out and then deleate it so noone will ever see it you get the frustration out without upseting anyone else.

scream most likely or talk ur anger out to ur friends. Call them up and tell them u need to get something off ur chest, but it isn't toward them unless it is. If u know what i mean

Here's how I vent my anger, I listen to music really loud.
Don't know what kind of music you listen to, but when I'm mad I listen to the screamo stuff because it's like them screaming gets all the anger out. They just calm me down.

well i used to have a service station and a guy came in and his car was smashed to pieces . and he showed me when
he got upset he would take his baseball bat out and start smashing his car. and yes he had anger problem he said what do i do with anger ike that and i said well if you are not belting someone with the bat the cars cool just buy cheap
cars he looked at me and smiled

This may seem a bit cliche but write what is bothering you and write how you would want things would change. Or don't focus on it think of something that makes you happy. Or hit a pillow... :D if ur really mad. I am 16 as well but usually I just talk to someone about it... a friend, a family member... hopefully mine or someone else's suggestion helps... though I wouldn't exactly resort to drugs or suicide... ^_^ good luck.

Find something you're passionate about, and focus on that, no matter what... And possibly try to solve your problems as pragmatically as possible; they won't go away overnight, but there are always changes that can be made.

You have already started to deal with it by admitting that you have this problem or concern, and you want to do something positive about it.

I don't have any answers myself, but I do know that I've seen some self help books on anger management, and there may even be some specifically for teens.

If you can, you may want to talk with your parent's or guardian to get some ideas. Maybe a school counselor could help also.

It's great that you want to deal with this. You are very wise and mature for your age.

go work out.
1)lift weights. : lets you focus on letting you're anger outon something productive
2)go for a run while listening to music. : relieves stress
3)take boxing: '' ''
4)go swimming: swimming does wonders for me, you just forget about everything thats going wrong in life
5)have sex, its a wonderful stress reliever
6) go for a walk, it helps to get out of the environment thats causing you stress.

All of the above help with releasing all that Adrenalin in you.

Same thing with me I think it is just us teenagers that just get frustrated all the time but what I do is that I don't let the anger control me if someone or something is pissing me off I just walk away or ignore it until I calm myself down and then I CALMLY solve that problem that caused my anger to control me,because what anger really does is control me and I AM THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN STOP THAT!SO IT IS ALL UP TO YOU TO STOP THAT.

do a sport like soccer, football, rugby or lacrosse. it helps me get my anger out bc no matter how hard yu hit sum1 its legal it contact sports. thats the beauty of it =]

Scream into a pillow and I know it sounds crazy, but get a therapist. In Freshman/Sophmore year I did that and it REALLY actually helped. You also need to have a lot of self control.

find an outlet for yourself like a sport or activity. when i get really angry or frustrated i take my dog for a run to the park and play with him until i feel better. works like a charm every time. you could try meditation or just lying quietly in a dark room or running. you just need to find the right thing that works for you. good luck!!

look just deal with what you gotta deal with and take everything one step at a time. if you feel frustrated listen to music to relax yourself or go do your fave hobby. maybe call a friend to get your mind off of it to.

dont explode on anyone cause they are not the cause of what you feel.
