Why does stewie on family guy have a small body and a huge head thats shaped as a football?

sydxneyx3	lol, i love family guy too! In one episode it was his 1st birthday and they did a clip of him being born, and he had that head. And in another episode there was a clip of him and brian jumping on the bed and stewie went to far up and hit is head on the ceiling and his head went football. I always wondered why whi head was liek that too because its not like the other babies on family guy. So either he was born like that r he bounced a little too high on the bed!! starcraft master =P	ok how many people here have watched family guy? and i mean over 20 episodes not 5. cause on an episode of family guy it showed stewie jumping on a bed and he had a normal shaped head and he looked weird and brian was telling him to stop and get off the bed but stewie said no i think but anyways he bounced too high and hit his head on the ceiling and his head smashed into the shape that is in now and fell onto the floor. that was a flashback on an episode of family guy i think. weirdly he was as smart as he is now before he hit his head :P Was this answer helpful to you? jealous elf	in one episode, a flashback shows him with a normal head, then somebody (i think peter) drops him. but in another episode, his brother (who he tries to prevent from being conceved) also has a football shaped head. It's not like there's actually a frikin' talking sponge in the middle of the Mariana trench that works in a fast food restaurant and lives in a pineapple. Secondly, they explained it in an episode. Me!	It's a cartoon and to some extent a satire, in that it makes fun of human idiosyncrasies, l ike body size, and bahaviours, and builds them out of proportions to make fun of and for fun! The silliness of men for example may be exaggerated, and the pickyness of women would be exaggerated too. Or the pickiness of either? Kn0	The style of drawing characters with massive heads and small bodies is called Super Deformed. It`s a common tool with very young characters, partly because little kids tend to have proportionatly bigger heads, and partly because the face is the central feature in animation, and you need space for emotion. So basically... the head size it just an animation thing, it`s not a part of the character. His head shape was explained in an episode where he was shown jumping on the bed in a cut scene. Brian tells him it`s a bad idea, Stewie brushes him off, and then he slams his head on the ceiling and it gets smooshed into it`s present shape. There are many scenes that contradict that story, however-- shots in the womb always show Stewie with his iconic head shape, and when we see Stewie`s unborn brother, he also has a football head. I think they just wanted a head shape, and used it to ret-con in a joke later. But then, Family Guy isn`t exactly perfect for continuity. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No
