Mum says no to boxers, is she right?

I want to wear boxers, Mum says I need to wear briefs or pants for support, when im older I can wear boxers :(... Most of my friends wear boxers, is she right? Thanks David xxx...

Northwest Womps	How old are you? If your're ten or more, I think you are in the driver's seat on this one. I'm not sure that your mother is in a position to know one way or another. If you want to wear boxers, I would tell her just that. Personally, I never liked them. Many, many other people do. It's just a personal preference. There comes a time when your mother needs to bow out and this is one of those times. You are not a little boy anymore.
Brig	well, boxers are ok. it'll help get air into tht area. however, as u get older, ur testicles will begin to hang more and when ur a much older adult, it might be better to have more support so they won't get in the way and won't get irritated from rubbing on ur leg(s). so, she's right, but u have to decide what u wanna wear.

Rachael H	i used to feel that way, as thats what my mum advised, my sons aged 12 and 16 wear boxers with no problems, it caused a bit of aching at first, but not for long, and theyre healthier, both boys wanted tp try them, as all their mates did, and they feel happier that theyre the same, like any clothing, nothing protects all the time, its a case of being careful, try talking to her again, to at least try them
claire o	both my boys wear boxers they are 7 and 10 they will not wear pants and i wouldnt make them they wear what they feel comfortable in.you dont say how old you are but i think it should be your choice on what you wear
Denzle	Tell your mom she doesn't know what shes talking about........In fact the opposite is true, this is the reason I have never ever worn under pants.........Keeping your tackle tucked up tight can do you harm....Its not natural..........In fact boxers are healthier than briefs.......
rann_georgia	It's a matter of personal choice: Boxers, briefs, bikini, jockstrap or commando. If you've never heard the term commando, it's going completely without underwear. The tighter under garments keep things in check, be that in a sports game or a hot date. Boxers shouldn't be a problem or even commando style unless you wear short pants which might give you an unexpected exhibition of the family jewels. If you can afford to buy your own underwear, there shouldn't be a problem at all, well, unless maybe, you're thinking of leather boxers.

James	Briefs are more practical when you exercise. Why don't you tell your mum that you gonna wear briefs underneath the boxers? Then you will have a good support and you can still look like your friends.
Stripy Basher	Well, I think you have to choose whatever makes you feel more comfortable, personally I prefer boxers, I don't like to feel like my testicles are going to disintegrate any minute, but if you like to keep them together briefs would be better. Some doctors say that if you're not circumcised it's better to wear boxers, that's just because it's better to have ventilation to keep everything healthier but it's up to you bud.
thosewerethedays	Your testicles don't really need any support unless you're doing something strenuous or bouncing around a lot, and then you should be wearing a regular athletic supporter. I love it when mums tell their lads what to do with equipment they don't have and have absolutely no familiarity with.

mallybb298	Its been proven that briefs, or other constricting underwear can reduce sperm production, as the testes work best at lower temperatures. I'm not sure that support is necessary for guys in the same way it is for girls, its mostly a matter of what feels comfortable.

Terry	No, she isn't. It's a personal choice. It doesn't have any health implication, other than that if you restrict the testes, they migh overheat and you will be producing less sperm. Hopefully this isn't a concern at your age! If you want to wear them, or wear nothing at all (commonly called 'going commando' or 'free balling' ) then you should be allowed to - it's your body.

On the opposite yet close side of the Spectrum, I wanted to wear thongs back a few years ago, and my mom said no, I went out and bought the sexiest most Lacey string thong I've ever seen, lol, and she just had to let me anyways.
