If you think you don't want to be gay, then you can choose to ignore your impulses and live in the closet, but this could cause you more psychological damage than simply allowing yourself to be who you are. Back in the 60's priests to whom people confessed they were gay would tell them that they were being called to the priesthood. You could become a priest.
