yes get it done. on the plus side it does make it look bigger. just talk to a doctor at a hospital its not a serious procedure. theyeven keep you awake for it

Victoria
I'm no expert, But don't be embarrased to go to a doc in uk, if he reccomends circumcision, it'll be on NHS. Good luck

BABY BELL
U need to see ur G.P u may need a circumcision or it may be another cause like some kind of inflammation that needs intervention, either way its a question for ur G.P.
U would get circumcised in a hospital and it would be free on the NHS

You are 18, which means if you get circumcised now, it will hurt like a bi***! I would recommend taking care of your penis a little better. If you are not circumcised, make sure you keep it clean. Peel back the skin and wash it. If you don't that skin will grow around the head of your penis and attach to it. this is very painful and by the way you're talking, may have already happened. You might need to see a doctor.

Well done for your bravery on asking that question. Firstly, do not worry. You have quite a common condition. It is a very minor operation and you need to get your GP to refer you. Please make a call in the morning. Doctors have seen it all before believe me - you have no reason for embarrassment. You will be fine. Promise to call in the morning. It won't cost anything.

It's a medical procedure, you should have it done on NHS. Go see your doctor, he can advise you better.

you need to see a uriogist. You may need to get circumcsied because of your age.

Won't cost anything, mate. Go and see your GP and they'll send you to a hospital genito-urinary unit. They'll have a better look at the problem and will advise you on what to do. It might not need a circumcision though, going by the description you've given.
I had a little bit of a snip on a wee foreskin problem last year, and unlike what one of the charmers further up the board said, it did not hurt like a bugger. I'd suggest you ignore the answer given by megan. Aside from that half of the plebs on here seem to be suggesting just rip it back. No, bad idea. That will hurt like a bugger. It can snap the frenulum and trust me that does nip rather a lot. Go see the doctor.
Best of luck, mate.

Go to a Urologist. Bingo bango you'll be spiffy in not time.

You need to see a dr. you probably were not cleaning it properly. You should consider a circumcision if you are not able to clean it daily. you may have phimosis. Be concerned if you have odor, discharge, or redness.

Can't "peel it back", it's not an orange!

PULL HARDER..stop being a punk!....it`ll detach!...haha Dont ask me how I know that!. :)

Talk to your doctor. Your personal hygiene there will necessitate the visit. Your foreskin may just require some gradual stretching.
If it's severe enough, the doc may refer you to a urologist. You may or may not require circumcision.

my boyfriend isn't cut and I love it!!!

anyway.

I know of this guy who never use to pull back the skin and wash and then a girl was going down on him and she pulled it back and it stank really bad and really hurt.....

so you should prob get a doctor to do it...they know what they're doing....

Please talk to the family doctor if he recommends you to for the operation.

no the skin is just stetched when erected so that is the problem but no dont worry if i didnt answer your ques then i dont know what you are talking about but no reason makes you need circumcision

You shouldn't need anything as drastic as circumcision, just a little help. Normally this would have sorted itself out by now. A doctor will be able to correct this.

I was just clicking away on my computer minding my own business when your question pops up (so to speak). Thank you ever so much. this is truly the cherry on the cake of my day. go see a doctor.

Dynamasis
My answer has already been posted

can you imagine if the foreskin slid back the whole length of the shaft - - whoaaa

What you describe seems to be a short frenulum (see link). This does NOT require circumcision, and to get circumcised for this reason is far too extreme.

You can probably stretch it out (gently and slowly) over a month's time by stretching it as far back as it'll comfortably go, hold it there for a few seconds, let it relax for a few seconds, then repeat. There are also creams that can help, but you'll need to talk to your doctor about that.

If you get really desperate, there is a simple operation that can be done to relieve the area (again, not circumcision). See the 2nd link for some idea, then do some research on the internet. Most likely you probably won't need this procedure. Good luck with whatever you try.

My ex was like this, but he said it's normal and not a problem. He found masturbation quite hard, as if he pulled down too hard, it would really hurt...he also used to get quite cheesey under there, so I think you'd be sensible to go and see a doc. If your doc thinks you need it, then it will be free on the NHS, but there'll be a wait, depending on how urgent they think it is. Don't me shy, just go, they've seen it all before, and if it means your sex life can be improved, then it's all worth it.

dorothy
It's called a frenulum; it's completely normal: look it up in an anatomy textbook or online.

you should try some of the alternatives that others suggested. ive had two circumcized boyfriends and my current one is uncircumcized and i love it. its just easier and more to play with. and the alternatives are a lot less painful

Sounds like the frenulum. Most (unless it was removed) uncircumcised guys have it, even some circumcised guys have it.

It's on the bottom side of your penis and prevents the foreskin from sliding too far back.

You also have a frenulum under your tongue and lips.

If that's what is preventing it from sliding back, circumcision is not needed. You can just remove the frenulum if that's the problem.

Circumcision should be a last resort.

As studies published in the British Journal of Urology have shown, circumcision reduces sensitivity and pleasure in the long run since the head is bare and rubs on the clothes all the time. It also makes masturbation more difficult since you can't use the lubricated foreskin to rub the head with. That's what the studies concluded; there's a reason why the USA is the only advanced nation that continues to circumcise newborns, but the rates are dropping a lot (as low as 14% in some states now):

If you haven't tried already, slide it back when you shower the most you can (without forcing it) and wash under it. See if that helps; it did with me.

Last, there's a cream you can use, too. It's 0.05 Betamethasone or betamethasone Dipropionate. It works in over 90% of cases.
