it's personal choice i know of some people who do occassionally shave, the reason is beacuse they feel cleaner in warmer weather and also they say during foreplay it feels more sensitive i dont think that it is a turn off either way.

Shaving down there feels great once you do it. There are several benefits which include:
1. It makes everything look...larger.
2. It's MUCH more sanitary and you don't have to worry as much about odors down there.
3. When receiving oral, the girl can go all out without having to worry about getting hair in her mouth.
4. Once you do it a couple times (The first two or three times bring about a small rash/itchyness), you just feel much, much better down there.

Well Hair holds odor and if you shave it will gross back longer and thicker. ill say to just trim its so when your lady is doing the "do" to you that wont get in her face.

well in my opion its a turn on for it to be shaven
but if you shave it dont lack on grooming cause if she is ever doing oral and gets priclies in her face she may just walk away.

The reason guys shave down there is because sometimes it itches down there. The only thing is you have to trim/shave consistently.

Absolutely not! You do what makes you comfortable. Neither gender is supposed to be shaved there (why do you think God gave us hair down there?). But if you want to and would feel more comfortable, then do it. But it's not a big deal and most women are fine with men who go au naturale.

Personally, I've never been with a man that has shaved his genitals. The thought has never actually crossed my mind and I don't think I've even noticed how much hair any of my partners have had. I suppose some of them could have shaved, but I didn't notice one way or the other. We don't spend a heck of a lot of time inspecting them.
For me anyway, it isn't a big issue at all, and I'd be surprised to find any women who claims that it is.

The only parts of my body that I shave is my face and the back of my neck. As for "down there", I do trim it a little but I would never shave it. No girl I have ever been with has ever complained about me being hairy. Many girls have enjoyed running their fingers through it. Most guys your age trim regularly, but don't shave. There is no consensus among women your age (as you can see from the comments) so there's no "right" choice here. Luckily it's not a permanent decision. If a woman feels strongly one way or the other, I'm sure she'll let you know.
Also, to commenter Brittany, I think you might want to consider the double standard inherent in your statement.

Either way is fine by me. It is up to the man. However, if the man in question has excessive hair I might tactfully suggest a "trim" which is not the same as a shave. It is just like a haircut in another area.
I prefer seeing a man with hair. Something about shaved men look too childlike and that bothers me.

I guess that is between you and the girl you are with. Personally I say no. Which is funny, since I do shave "down there"....but anyway, something about a guy shaving that area, that just doesn't do it for me....but who knows maybe your girlfriend would like it...

I personally would be turned off if there was NOTHING down there, but also turned off if it was a hair jungle. Just like the eyebrows - keep them trimmed and at bay...

Not at all! I wouldn't expect a guy to be shaven there. Especially because if that razor nicks you, it's going to be incredibly uncomfortable. My boyfriend did it once just for me to see the difference, and I don't mind either way, personally. It's just a man's choice. It's not a turnoff though, no worries.

my opinion for both sexes is that if it is shaved, it's like a prepubescent kid-gross if you're having sex.
i know a guy-he's 14 and shaved there once and he never tires of telling us how it felt like little spikes when it grew back and how much it hurt...

I prefer my boyfriend's shaven, or at least trimmed, but some women like some hair on it. If you care what a girl you're sleeping with thinks, then you can just ask her what her preference is when you feel comfortable enough.
