mangamaniaciam	Stop what your doing right now. Go to the hospital. From the sounds of it, though I'm not a doctor just a very unlucky mountain biker, it sounds like you may have possible ruptured a neck vertebrae disk as well as strained and or torn a few neck muscles. The swelling is your bodies way of telling you not to move as well as to keep further injuries down by making things so they can't move easily. Dubya	You might have injured a ligament in the neck, or worse, suffered a vertebral body fracture in this setting of neck trauma. If intreated, neck swelling can lead to spinal cord damage from the pressure of bone fragments or blood on the nerve structures. You need some xrays. If the injuries are unstable, you will need surgery to but these bones back togehter. If it's serious enough and you don't do anything about it, it could lead to serious nerve injury. I Shall Be Free	Well whenever it becomes difficult to breathe at times, you are best off going to the doctor as a precautionary measure. It's tough to know what could be wrong at you without looking at you, doing some tests, etc, but if you go to the doctor they will probably send you for an X-ray, and you'll know for sure whether it's anything to worry about, and what can be done to help.
