Yes def. go to the hospital because he is so young. What if he got a concussion or he actually broke his nose? It's already swollen....like the other poster said- better safe than sorry.

Is it swollen in or out? If it has came out and he/she seems to be acting normal not to tired then he/she should be ok. If not I would go! I definitley would be checking on him/her through out the night!

yes.
Now.
Even a mild concussion is serious in a child.
Brain injuries are easy to cause and quick to develop from edema (swelling of the brain).
If you have to ask, if even just for your and your child's peace of mind, you should go...

what was ur child doing that they dropped 2 feet onto concrete?!? I would call you doctor and if you cannot set up an appointment then I would take the to a walk-in med center just to make sure they dont have a concusion, blood clot or anything more serious. I would be extra cautious next time

My two yr old fell down a flight of steps and smacked her head on a cement basement floor. I took her to the ER ( for stitches) and to get her head checked and the Dr. told me, hitting the front of her head is much safer than the back of his/her head. If you are concerned, then you should take him or her in. If he/she is acting normal, just keep an eye on him/her. If he/she suddenly acts over tired and you cant seem to keep he/she awake or if he/she vomits, TAKE HIM/HER IN. Good Luck, kids are resilient... I'm sure he/she will bounce back just fine;)
It is really sad that people have to give parents so much crap when they ( answers) too dont even know the correct answer! I'm sure you are a smart loving mother and these people who have nothing else better to do but rip on people need to learn how to make REAL friends and get REAL lives... WOW!
Sorry all these people offended you:(

I pray this is a stupid joke and not a serious question. CLEARLY you should have your child checked out to ensure he or she is ok. If not at the hospital then by their pediatrician...

Put ice on it right away. Then if it is swelling out...he should be fine. If you do not see a knot coming up then that is when you should we worried. Also, if he was conscious the whole time then that is also another good sign. If he did not cry right away or move...that is not a good sign. Also, make sure he is alert and knows what is going on that is another good sign. If you are really worried your pediatricians office should have a nurse on call that should be able to help. Hope this helps hun :-)
