Simply put ice on it. If you feel tired go to sleep, but have someone call you and wake you every hour until you feel it is no longer necessary, it's probably not. Take Motrin or asprin for pain. Unless it hit you hard enough to knock you out, you're probably fine.

Put some ice on it first for the swelling and see how you feel.An Ipod would most likely not from its size and weight cause serious damage to you.If you feel or experience any dizziness or headaches you may want to call a parent.I doubt you have anything to worry about.Ice 20 min wait 20 min then ice 20min.you should be good.

You will heal and live. How did the Ipod come through?
Alone at home on Christmas Eve and Christmas day (24 hours) and beating up a helpless Ipod.
Maybe the bump from the Ipod is not what you should be concentrating on.

just ice it for a while. it may turn into a bruise, but that is just blood collecting in that one area. Its normal. The ice will slow the blood flow causing the swelling to stop.

Aw you'll be fine. The other morning I punched myself in the chin, HARD, and everything turned out fine. Then that night I almost broke my nose in a snowball fight. The snowball hit me so hard that I thought blood was pouring out of my nose and my lips swelled to about twice the size. You're head will probably hurt for a while and you might have a big bump on it, but that's it. If the pain really bothers you just ice it down.

Take a deep breath and don't let anything bother it, keep ice on it. And make sure to sooth-It. But if it gets any worse, and you faint or something call a doctor, or somebody you know!!

Oh come on, you're not gonna die because of that........ just grab some ice, wrap a cloth around it and put it on the injured spot for as long as you can.... if you have a cream/gel such as Voltaren, Lonol or that kind of stuff it'll help it not to get too swollen.... but don't worry, nobody has died of a small bruise like that.

You don't give enough information for any of us to "diagnose" the problem, especially since I'd bet no one answering your question as the letters M.D. after their names. If you have nearby neighbors who seem reponsible enough to look at your injury, go to them. If you have relatives nearby who seem responsible, go to them, but NO ONE here can responsibly tell you what to do since NO ONE here can see you, literally, and I'd bet NO ONE here has the letters "M.D." or "R.N." after their names. You can go to the Emergency Room of a nearby hospital if you have insurance and are worried enough. God Bless you.

a boomerang I-pod injury to the fore head. Nice. Ice. rest. there is not enough mass to injure your self with a I-pod flung in a return trip manner. You'll be fine. Throw something softer next time...and cheaper.

Put some ice on it and just relax. You are obviously fine if you can come to the computer to ask for advice on what just happened.

Put ointment on it. There's going to be a bruise. After you put on ointment, it'll feel better and THEN you put on ice. Ice doesn't help it, it just makes it feel better.

Awwww... Poor girl... :((
I am sorry to read this...
Try putting some ice on it (the swolen part not the iPod :P ) and if it gets really black (which by now i suspect it does) do an old trick my grandmother taught me :)
Get an Onion and and peel it. take a heavy item, like a hammer or something, and crash it. (not into a pulp. just hit it 2-3 times so it becomes broken). And then put the inside of the onnion on the swolen part. Put a bandager over it and let it there for an hour or so. I know the smell will be awful but believe me it works magic. And take an Aspirin or something like that for the pain.
I really hope it works honey!!
Be well! :)
P.S. mail me if u want to tell me if u are better. I am really worried...

Well, I am not a doctor, so please take this with a grain of salt and common sense.
You seem to be pretty lucid so it does not appear that there has been any injury to your brain. If you are not having any trouble seeing, then you are probably okay.
Next time you get frustrated, kick a door - no wait, you might break your foot.
Just kidding. You seem to be fine.
If you start having trouble seeing, or if you develop a really really bad headache or your balance changes, call an ambulance.

if you're OK enough to be online asking, I suspect you'll survive. The skull protects our tender brains from injury, and bruises and swelling go away. try putting some ice into a handkerchief or washcloth and holding it on the bump. Also, hopefully you're smart enough to know when you're in trouble from this minor boo-boo: blacking out, throwing up, stuff like that mean you should call your parents.
Maybe you've learned a lesson about managing frustration?

Your forehead is backed up by your skull so you'll probably be fine. You're going to have a nice goose egg and maybe a pretty bruise though.
If you are really concerned these are the immediate signs and symptoms of a concussion:
* Confusion
* Amnesia
* Headache
* Loss of consciousness
* Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
* Drowsiness
* Nausea
* Vomiting
* Unequal pupil size
* Convulsions
* Unusual eye movements
* Slurred speech
Delayed signs and symptoms may include:
* Irritability
* Headaches
* Depression
* Sleep disturbances, including insomnia or difficulty waking
* Fatigue
* Poor concentration
* Trouble with memory
* Getting lost or becoming easily confused
* Increased sensitivity to sounds, lights and distractions
* Loss of sense of taste or smell
* Difficulty with gait or in coordinating use of limbs
That said, grab a bag of ice or some frozen veggies and you'll feel better in a bit.
