How to treat suspected internal bleeding?

My friend was involved in an accident recently and he insisted strongly not to go to the doctor or hospital. His chest area is swollen and his ribs are bruised. There is a cut on his chest which is upon the esophagus area which he said, caused difficulty in breathing and swallowing. Any treatment or medication that can help to make his condition better?
Anyone who had a similar experience, please do share.

If your friend bruised his ribs that can cause difficulty breathing and he has to be very cautious. he really should have been seen by a Dr. for x-rays etc. to see if his ribs are broken. If he starts coughing up any blood he could have problems with bleeding into his lungs. If he shows any sign of weakness he needs to get to a Dr. right away.
You can't force him to go to a Dr. and can only provide emotional support and encouragement. keep a close eye on him. He can take some anti-inflammatories (Advil,etc) to help relieve his pain.
