a bruise is basically just a scrape under the chin where it scabbed up.
if she doesn't touch or rub it it will heal faster. just the same with cuts and scrapes.
tell her to softly rest ice on her chin to sooth-It until it is completely melted.

Well, it depends on the size of the bruise. But if I am not mistaken, I think it will last for about 8-15 days.

It depends where on the face and how hard it was hit.
I have a bruise on my leg that is going to be three years old. It bruised to the bone and the bruise was as big as my shin at first and multi colored. Now it is the size of my palm and a pale brown color. "Ouch" was not the word I used.

It depends on how bad the bruise is. Generally, a bruise should last up to 2-3 weeks maximum. I've had a bruise that exceeded this, however, because I was kicked on the shin with a steel-toed boot.
It should go away within 2 weeks medically speaking, though.

A bruise is where the blood has been let out under the skin. It goes away when the body assimilates it.

Bruises will last anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the thickness of the tissue damaged and the extent of the damage.
But about a week to 10 days for a bruise on the chin.
Ice can help the swelling a bit.

since it was on friday and it's still there, she must have fell pretty hard but don't worry i'm here to help, try putting some Neosporin on it. that's something over the counter that you can get at your local pharmacy, try wal mart they always have it. i know because i'm the senior pharmacy technician there. and if that does'nt work try Hydrocortisone cream. that should do the trick.

It varies but on average a light bruise will last for about 2 weeks. I would say closer to the 2 weeks plus side because alchol was involved and this will cause thinning in the blood and possibly more blood flow around the injured area..... causing a deeper bruise.

1. how bad is the bruise?(does ot have purple and blue colour around the edges??
2. How old are you?(older you get the longer it takes to heal)
3. Where is the bruise?(parts of the body can suffer deeper bruises that appear)..
I once had a bruise on my upper leg, which I got from rather close range, when I was paintballing(18yrs old) and this lasted 7 months!!!!
My regular bruises last 3-6 weeks now and I am 21...
If you are younger that about 2-4 weeks maybe
sorry this is not an accurate answer... but it's like the question; how long is a piece of string?..

Depends on how bad the bruise is. She should be icing it and may want to check into Arnica gel, it might help it go away faster.

You know how a bruise changes color over time? That's your body fixing the bruise by breaking down and reabsorbing the blood, which causes the bruise to go through many colors of the rainbow before it eventually disappears. You can pretty much guess the age of a bruise just by looking at its color:
When you first get a bruise, it's kind of reddish as the blood appears under the skin.
Within 1 or 2 days, the hemoglobin (an iron-containing substance that carries oxygen) in the blood changes and your bruise turns bluish-purple or even blackish.
After 5 to 10 days, the bruise turns greenish or yellowish.
Then, after 10 or 14 days, it turns yellowish-brown or light brown.
Finally, after about 2 weeks, your bruise fades away.
