Peircing any part of your own body is very dangerous and should not be atempted by anyone without proper training and know - how.
If your belly button gets infected you should see your doctor who will give your some disinfectant for it which should clear it up or in some cases you have to let the hole close up and then get it re pierced.

DO NOT DO THAT YOURSELF...your bellybutton is a DIRECT entry into your body and you can get violently ill from doing that yourself...and DIE.
Go to a professional who has a CLEAN SHOP and KNOWS what they are doing...it's coring not a pierce.
A core of your body is removed so that the ring (and it's a THICK wire) CAN BE INSERTED. you need antibotics to clear up any infections there...perscribed by a doc of medicine.

You start by...................NOT !
Don't do it yourself, you will need sterile equipment and practise and more than instructions off a website, basically its just such a bad idea to do it yourself so many things can go wrong.

What a cheap skate. For god sake think of you health, and get it done properly. That way no risk of infection if you clean it properly and look after it like they say.

You don't!
There are certain things that should be done by professionals and body piercings are one of them.
It is not worth the risk of getting an infection to do it yourself.

BECCIE, BECCIE,BECCIE,
How can I put this...OK, I'll go with politely.
DO NOT DO THIS YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!
"When it's infected...." You obviously know that it can, and MOST LIKELY WILL get infected.
Do not, EVER, treat infections lightly, especially if they occur on/in your abdomen. They can be life-threatening. I'll say it again louder — LIFE THREATENING!!!!
Piercings are cool & sexy, I know that. I have 1, 2, 3, ... several piercings myself. I have also done 5 or 6 myself — in my ears. Anywhere else, & I go to a piercing salon to let a PROFESSIONAL do them.
Do you have an autoclave? I didn't think so. You MUST have it done professionally.
Let me tell you a little story:
Once upon a time, I was in the hospital for some serious abdominal surgery. The other young lady in the room with me was very nice. She was there because she did her belly piercing all by herself. We had fun joking around while we were there.
She left before me — IN A BODY BAG. Not exactly...they pulled a white sheet up over her pretty face while her family stood there crying. I rang for my nurse to close my curtain, so I could cry privately.
Her home-piercing, done with "sterile" equipment, etc., caused an infection that, since it is on her abdomen, spread into the lining of her abdominal wall. This ended up causing Peritonitis, which is a severe infection on the INSIDE of your abdomen.
This is where many organs live, your kidneys, your ovaries, uterus & fallopian tubes, your bladder, your intestines, just to name a few. If the infection spreads to any of these organs, you may die.
If you survive, you may end up with a colostomy bag — definitely NOT as cute & sexy as a belly piercing.
I am not trying to scare you, Beccie. Well, I take that back — I AM trying to scare you. That's because you should be scared!! An infection isn't like putting a band-aid on a kid's scraped knee. You don't just casually say, o well, I need some Amoxycillan or whatever because I have an infection. It is serious business.
It does not cost that much to get your belly button pierced by a professional. And if you can't afford it yet, then WAIT. Nothing, and I mean nothing is worth getting an abdominal infection & possibly ending up in the hospital. At the very least, I would feel pretty stupid if that happened to me; & that would be the least of my problems.
So, come on Beccie, just pay for it, knowing it's done safely & will heal quickly. Then you can put on a nice belly shirt & look great. Besides, if you get it done by a professional & they mess it up & you get sick, at least you can sue them - jk - sort of.
Please listen to me. The story I told you is true. I don't want that to happen to you, really.
Stay healthy and best of luck.
