I would say the same as you usually get 8-10-hours per day and only this depends on the person.

after taking medicine,you will feel drowsy,it will force you to sleep for about 2hrs.so that means if you take ur medicine 3 times a day, you should rest at least 4hrs during the day,and you may sleep the whole night thru until you wake up the next morning.

As much as I'm able to. Which ideally would be all day long, waking up only to take care of basic needs like eating, going to the bathroom, washing, blowing my nose, taking more cold medicine to knock me out again...
