HIV in wet blood?

Hey guys have a quick question for you. When I went to open a door, my hand touched something wet. Worried about what it was, I looked and my index finger. I looked to be a drop of wet blood. I freaked out. I have since washed my hands repeadly with antibacterial soap and piping hot water, but my hands, especially my finger, feels like it still has blood on it. If that blood was HIV positive, and let's assume it was and not on the door knob for very long, what is my risk of being infected with HIV? Please let me know, I am freaking out.

the only way you could possibly be infected is if it gets into YOUR bloodstream. Meaning, the blood would have to get into a cut of yours. Just make sure you wash ur hands good and you will be fine.

unless your finger had a rather significant cut on it and that tiny amount of blood was fressh fresh (like 2 seconds old) you have no real risk, but if you cant get it out of your head then go get an AIDS test, many communtiies have places that do them for free, annoymously

The odds are if you get pricked with a hiv positive needle is like the ratio 1:300 people. If your finger had an open soar or cut that broke the skin bearier than maybe you too would be in that ratio, other than that wash your hands and you'll be alright Im sure.Pray to God daily and serve him well in your life and have no fear of death in whatever comes in your path...

The virus is very unstable outside the body. Unless if was fresh and you had a cut on your finger, then you're ok.

Your risk is almost zero. You would have had to touch a mucous membrane IMMEDIATELY after contact (eyes, nose, etc) and the blood would have to have been minutes if not seconds old. You have NO worries.

If you had an open, bleeding sore at the very spot that you touched the blood you would have a slim chance of picking up anything in that blood.
Stop freaking out.
