alaura_andrei	Ofcourse you need to see a doctor.If there isn`t any availble to you,go and boil 2-3 egs for 10 min.,rise with carrots and special tea for diarreah;and stop drinking water and sprite.There are also special pills that stops diarreah. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

jim b	You should go to the doctor. By all means keep you body rehydrated, vey important. Try a product called Florastor-otc, it works for diarrhea and it helps keep the intestinal system on tract. Friends of mine have used it with great success. I would not recommend Immodium, this is ok for a quick stop but there is a problem and Immodium is only working on the symptom. michele	Yes, it would be best to head to the doc on Monday morning if it hasn't cleared by then. IN the meantime, use the BRAT "diet" and get some Immodium (or similar OTC anti-diahrrea med) at the drug store. B = Bananas R = Rice (plain) A = Applesauce (unsweetened) T = Toast Try propel (or another sugar free sports drink with electryolytes). This is nothing to fool with. Dehyration can set in quickly. Queen	Go to the doctor, don't get over-the-counter drugs. For instance, if you have Clostridium difficile, Immodium (and other similar drugs) will have absolutely no effect. Not only that, then time is wasted while you continue to get sicker. You need to be sure you are taking the correct medication for what you have. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

bronte heights	After 3 days of this you will be severely dehydrated. You need to go to the ER to get IV fluids. Try mint tea on the way. At this point, don't worry about food, hydration is the critical factor here. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

yakkydoc	Keep yourself hydrated. Vomiting and diarrhea is self- limited. Vomiting will stop first. Drink Pedialyte. Sprite is hyperosmolar. Do not drink it. Water is OK. Yogurt, rice and bananas are good. Drink 1 to 2 glasses of Pedialyte per stool, sipping very slowly. If you vomit, wait for ten minutes, then drink more slowly. You should be OK in a day or two. MJ	Eat some candied Ginger, drink Ginger tea, or take some immodium AD. They all work really well. If you allow yourself to become dehydrated you will begin to vomit and then you have bigger problems. Avoid sugar and sugary drinks as they will only exacerbate the problem. Ingest things that are bland such as bananas, rice, oats, saltine or club crackers. All of these things are known for their binding abilities. If the smell of the diarrhea is particularly horrible and sharp, you may have something called Rhodo Virus. It is caused by fecal to mouth contamination. It can last up to 10 days. The only thing you can do is let it run its course unless you become so dehydrated you vomit and that is when you need to go and get an I.V. at the hospital. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

welcome to my world	Try over the counter first, if that doesn't work within an hour I would definately call a doctor. You could be getting dehydrated without sufficient liquids. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No
