Chest Pain?
Hello,
I would like to ask a question about some symptoms I've been having......
Around 10 a.m I had a dull burn in the middle of my left chest. It started off, just uncomfortable pain. Than around 2 p.m I started to get labored breath.(harder time breathing), the dull burning became more intense..feels like a tightening pain in the same left side of the chest. I've been resting all day, trying not to do much but I keep getting heart palpations....as though I've been doing a marathon. It's now 7 p.m and it's getting worse....
I walk a feet and get extremely labored breathing, can barely catch my breath.

I'm 23 years old but it's not uncommon to have heart condition in my family. My mother died at the young age of 32 of a heart attack.......

Maybe it's just really bad heart burn or indigestion .Has anyone felt like this with heartburn or indigestion......
Share and Enjoy!

If you do smoke, then quit. If you're on birth control, it can be an effect of your using it. Better get yourself checked. Happened to me too, but it's just mitral valve prolapse.

With your family history and the fact that the symptoms are not only continuing but are getting worse it not a good combination. You need to go the ER immediately. Call 911 if there is no one there to take you.
It is always better to be safe than sorry...once cardiac muscle is destroyed it can not be repaired.
Good luck.

that's wierd, i just got out of hospital from having tests, i had the same symptoms and it's just anxiety, BUT...you need to get it checked out, because it could be serious, i am relieved that im ok, just knowing, but there are things they can do.....it runs in my family too that is why i didn't take a chance, go to your doctor! let them run tests and you'll know for sure! good luck!

Tightening and trouble breathing is a sign of a heart attack. Get checked out. Sharp pain is just indigestion.

Sorry for the chest pain but with your family history you have no business still being at home hoping that it will go away. As a nurse that takes care of patients who have serious damage to their hearts from hoping that it will just go away, I need to tell you that every nurse in the hospital would rather see you for indigestion that turned out to not be heart disease rather than for heart failure for not treating your symptoms seriously. Please get off the computer and get to a hospital.
