Lavender essential oil. Likely there is someone from Young Living in your area. Go to www.oil-testimonials.com and do a search for distributors in your area. Likely someone would be glad to bring you a sample.

Young Living Essential Oils. It's the only way to go!
Lavender is great for all kinds of trauma to the skin, but it's especially effective at preventing blistering after a burn. It also stops pain, in my own personal experience.

I am not diagnosing or prescribing. Only telling you what has worked for me when I got burnt. I will not be without my Lavender if I have any choice!

It’s important to stay out of the sun until your burn has healed as you can make it much worse! Refer to the previous section for tips on protecting yourself from worsened burns.
Sunburn pain relief: Reach for a product that contains LidocaineLidocaine is an anesthetic that will dull the pain.
Cooled whole, plain yogurt applied topically can help soothe sunburned skin.Sunburn pain can also be eased through the use of over-the-counter analgesics such as Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen. Follow the usage instructions printed on the bottle.
Use a washcloth soaked in cool milk to gently dab the sunburned areas periodically.
Cold compresses and cool baths will help temporarily ease the pain – but it will likely return soon after the skin warms back up.

NUMBER ONE:

Any burn - use ALOE VERA - NOT water.

I used to get burned on occasion and tried everything.

The only thing I have found reliable is aloe vera, which you can now get in a gel.

No idea exactly why, but this speeds up the healing, cools, and even on severe burns from electrical appliances reduces or eliminates scarring.

For those recommending oils/butter this will elevate the heat levels in the dermis and 'cook' the person - it will also reduce the rate at which the skin heals and may cause permanent damage.

Judge Sludge says:
Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel does good...for really bad blistering burn you can get major relief from Second skin by Spenco..they are gel pads that have medication in them, they work magic but the pads are only about 3X3 inches and they come a half dozen to a box.... They will give you instant relief and allow you to at least get to sleep...
For me they allowed me enough relief to be able to work...Good luck....The Aloe should help good you can get both at a drug store...

1. NEVER put anything on it such as peanut butter, toothpaste and such. Do not get it infected. Try pain relievers, and polysporne if you have any. Cover it up if it is possible.

aloe vera but make sure to check the ingredients of the bottle... only use the kind with aloe vera being the 1st listed. If water is the first listed it wont help much other than a quick cooling when you first put it on where as if you have the good stuff it will actually moisturize and heal the burn.

aloe for now, make sure you lotion with like aveda body Lotion and stuff though, because when you start to peel.. which you will it will help it not flake off

When you do start peeling, buy a loofa you know those fluffy shower things and exfoliate your skin to get it all off.. much more attractive then having chaffing skin

Good luck :)

I would say either Vitamin E oil or Aloe Vera gel.
If you don't have either of these then Olive oil and sesame oil are high in Vitamin E, but don't go out in the sun covered in oil.

Aloe should be good. I also find apple cider vinegar to be quite soothing, but it stinks.

This is not good, The only thing I can think of is. Aloe. Take the juice from the aloe and rub it on lightly. Also, you should try sponging down with cold water. Sunborn not good.

Here it is. If you are not allergic to Aspirin (very bad thing if you are and you take it like i am going to tell you to take it) then take 2 Aspirin in the morning and 2 in the evening. What that does is actually thins your blood and makes the oxygen in you blood get to the sunburn easier and makes it go away much faster.

Good luck. PS. take 2 full strength Aspirin not the baby Aspirin!

TEABAGS. get some teabags, but them in hot water like your making tea, let them COOL DOWN, and then put them on the burn. it sounds weird, but my grandmother did it for me and it works amazing. she has nine kids and twenty grandchildren..so she knows what shes talking about ;)

also, get some aloe, i find "Ocean Potion" works really well, but anything will do. it cools it down really nicely.

Lots of lotions have aloe vera in it which is great for sunburn relief! the lotion also keeps your skin moist so you do not peel as bad....or at all. there is lots of spray cans in the store specifically aimed at sunburn, but i find natural remedies such as aloe lotions or pure aloe vera have never failed to help me. good luck!

Aw, you need lots of:

1. aloe - get some that's pure, without alcohol if possible - check out the ingredients on the back of the bottle and if "aloe" is the first ingredient, buy it. Don't buy aloe that has some other weird chemical as the first ingredient. Also, apply that EVERWHERE you're burned at least twice a day, preferably more. If you keep the aloe on, you'll prevent your skin from being dried out - this will prevent peeling. So do it to soothe and do it to keep the first layer of skin from sloughing off. First thing when you wake up and right before bed. At least.

2. Water - drink as much water as possible.

3. Advil - I know it sounds silly, but take one in the morning and one before bed.

Other than that, stay out of the sun. If it's as bad as it sounds, you're going to need at least a week to get back to normal. Stay away from anything containing alcohol or Menthol ("Sooth-A-Caine") because if your skin is broken, you will want to die. It will hurt really bad.

There isn't anything you can do but just let your skin heal and recover. Unfortunately the best home remedy is aloe, water, time and time out of the sun.

I hope you feel better!!!!!

Aside from aloe vera gel ( I keep ours in the fridge so it goes on icy cold), do what you can to keep your skin from drying out too much. If you have an empty squirt bottle, use that to mist water on yourself. It will help to cool you temporarily and keep the moisture level up.

The sting should subside in 12-24 hours.

definitely aloe vera gel. Within the first 24 hours or so, apply aloe liberally. It will cool the burn to relieve pain and it will moisterize the area to minimize damage and peeling.
