I once had a similar incident in which I swallowed a whole teaspoon of acid (long story) and nothing happened except the symptoms I described above. teacupn	Rinse your mouth with plenty of water, and wash your face with lots of soap which is a base and will wash away any residue from the acid. Sounds like a very small burn, and it isn't anything to worry about. Flushing with clean water usually takes care of the problem. agate_adni	If you are able to write this and you still have your lip it may not be acid that hit it. But next time you feel that you have come into contact with acid just use baking soda and water to neutralize it, and tell your teacher of any other problems. Was this answer helpful to you? just me	First, a pH of 14 is strongly alkaline. Low pH is acidic. Second, you should have told your instructor immediately when it happened so proper first aid could have been administered (probably just flushing it with water). Third, I don't think you will die.
