you should get checked out for asthma first. remember, the more you workout, the less tired you will get. try running everyday for 20 minutes and see how you will feel after only a week. it might be that you are just out of shape. Good luck.

Well...You may want to see a doctor to check for asthma cuz inhalers always work for me. Another thing you can do is quit smoking or doing drugs (if you do). But inhaling deep through the nose and exhaling through the mouth is the best way to breath. Never panic, because it will make it worse.

best thing to do is meditate on a single point, like a black dot within a white backround. Breathe slowly, and imagine blue light radiating from your body. It should work

Make sure you're breathing with your stomach, not just the top of your chest! When we try to keep our gut sucked in nice & flat, we waste a significant portion of our lung capacity.

k this is yoga and vipasana buddhist breathing technique. you must relearn how to breathe. we don't normally breathe right, mostly too shallow, the air only fills top third of lungs. k, first is proper breathing, and ya can't use this on the field, at least until you master it: find your pulse. deep, slow intake of breath, 4 beats. neither in or out, 1 beat. slow steady exhale, 4 beats. neither in nor out, 1 beat. repeat. you could learn to breathe this way all the time, but i don't. you will find that this will slow your heart rate which is why you sholdn't try it on the field until you have mastered it, and understand what you're doing.
now then, knowing this, there is a cleasing breath: deep, slow intake, 4 beats. neither in nor out, 1 beat. strong forceful exhale (through the mouth) about 3 beats if you can. hold it, don't breathe in or out, 2 beats. do this one only once. this will help to force old stale air out of your lungs, and ya can't get good air in if ya got a bunch of old air still sitting in there.
be very careful with breathing techniques as bad ones can seriously mess you up. you have already noticed how important breathing is. good luck on the team.

Try this: pace yourself. As you run, breath in over three steps, breath out over three steps. this will assist you in breathing more deeply, and thus will get more oxygen to your muscles!
Good Luck!

Keep walking around while breathing in slowly, don't keep runnning.. walking keeps your muscles from cramping up, and cleanses you airways. Also, try to control ur breathing while running, in through the nose... out through the mouth!! that's really important to do while excersising! And just keep excersisng, that way ur body will get used to the exercise and you won't get tired so quickly.

I'm not the best person to answer this. However, as a singer, I have learned to breathe from the Diaphragm instead of from the chest. This will allow you to breathe more deeply, taking in more air, and you may not get winded as much. On the other hand, I've heard that dancers breathe from the chest, not the Diaphragm, because they need to take shorter breaths. Maybe the same is true for athletes.
Talk to the school nurse about this, or even to the coach, or to your gym teacher.
BTW, have you read The Chocolate War, particularly its first chapter?

Keep breathing - sometimes we forget to breath and re charge our selves... that works for lifting weights too. Concentrate on enough breathing and you will find it re energizes you.
