peaches and cream	Yes, I am with you on that smoking. I hate the smell. Anyway when you pass them hold your breath till you pass the smoke. Second hand smoke is more harmful to your lungs also, it seem you are smoking. How would the lungs know if you are not smoking. Do you understand what I mean? If you have friends that smoke let them know don't smoke around you. If you have a car take the ash tray out and say no smoking in my car. Avoid if possible your lungs will love you. thefragileningirl	my husband smokes in the house and i can't stand it. i've brought him to my daughter's doctor so the doc could talk to him being that me and my daughter have asthma. and that helped for only a couple of weeks and then he started slowly smoking in the house again. me and my kids have talked to him and tell him to please go outside but he doesn't. i hate people that smoke. away team	No, I don't like it either. What was strange to me was traveling to Maine a few years ago where smoking was (is?) still allowed in restaurants. The hostess asked us whether we wanted smoking or non-smoking seating. We chose non-smoking. But you know what ... it doesn't help!! The smoke spreads. I don't know who they're kidding. I think the only thing that would work would be if smokers had their own glass encased smoking room. I have smokers in my family too. And what a terrible addiction it is! My mother is now trying to quit ... again. She's having a biopsy on her mouth this Friday. She's been smoking for 40 years. Hopefully this will motivate my sister to quit. I don't permit my family to smoke around my son (who has asthma) or me. They go outside to smoke. I hold my breath when I pass smokers on the street too! I thought I was the only one. tngapch	I can't abide smokers around me. I have asthma and smoke is a very big trigger for me. What makes me the most upset though is that some of these smokers say to 'suck it up' or that people like me are exaggerating, that it isn't that bad. What I wouldn't give for them to live the life I do for one day, experiencing the shortness of breath and suffocating sensations of an asthma attack because someone was inconsiderate enough to blow smoke in their face. blondieinlove	I mind it because it gives me headaches, but I got used to it because my boyfriend smokes. Smokers aren't trying to hurt you. They have a habit and I have learned that because of people like me they have less and less freedom to smoke. I understand not smoking in some places, but I don't want my boyfriend to leave me to go smoke when we are eating out. I am just sitting there with him enjoying a conversation and it has to end because of his habit. I love him and I show a little sympathy for him, but then again I hate smoke.
