Yep ive swam in mine for as long as ive had them. Actually i dont swim without them anymore because the water doesnt hurt your eyes when you open them underwater. It is kind of uncomfortable when you come out of the water because its like theyre glued to your eyeballs. But in a few hours they dry out and are back to normal. So yeah go for it.

if you open your eyes with contacts in, they may 'weld' to your eyes...it's not like a wetsuit...lol my suggestion, don't do it unless you want to go blind!
ok, maybe that's not all true, but why would you want to open them anyway? do you have super power vision under water? are you going to have laser eyes to burn holes through fish for dinner? why? why...would you do this? just use some bait and a fishing pole.

Might be better not to, but one possibility is to take swimming goggles and your opthalmologist's advice before you plunge in.

You can, but i don't recommend it. If you do want to swim with them in though, you can wear goggles, but make sure that they stick to your face tight enough, or else they will fill with water.

You are technically not supposed to swim with contacts. If some water were to get in your eye you could damage your contacts.

take out your contacts! even though you can swim with them in, its not a good idea too,1)there are other impurities in the water and the chlorine level can still be too high and 2)they might come out accidentally and 3)u could lose them by rubbing the water out of your eyes even if you wear goggles

Yes, you can swim in them, but you have to keep your eyes partially closed. I would just remove mine. I remember in college that one of the girls was always losing a lense because the water would wash the lense out of her eye. You have to keep you eyes partially closed as you swim.

You can, and I do, however, you cannot open your eyes, which is difficult. If you do, you can lose a contact (I have) and that's not good.

Don't swim with contacts. The water may be clear and drinkable but it also has other things in it that are harmless if swallowed (stomach acid kills most things) but can be very dangerous on a contact lens - amoebas and fungus just to name two (look at the problem with Renu).

Yeah you can wear contact lenses while swimming just make sure that you don't open your eyes under water if you plan on putting your head under the water a lot you should probably consider wearing some goggles because wouldn't it suck if your contact fell out in the water, you would never find it. HAVE LOTS OF FUN and wear sun block.

I wouldn't go under water or don't open your eyes when you go under. Another thought is that, if you don't want to worry, you should take them out when you swim.

Technically you are not supposed; I have. It really isn't recommended because of chlorine/salt water effects on the contacts while in your eyes.

Depends on what lenses you have. Ask the doc and then if you have to, convert to water resistant lenses. Then revert back if you get irritated.

You need the natural saline balance in your eyes for contacts to stay in properly. I have swam in the ocean with the salt water with contacts and it was not a problem but pools, lakes and rivers with fresh water causes problems. Might be best to get some googles.

They can float out, so you have to either wear goggles or keep your eyes closed. I don't like either option, so I usually swim contact-less.

contacts are usually fine to swim in, but they can fall out and you will never find them again... I would take them out because you can't see all that well under water anyway...
