Bitten my tongue!!?

well i bit the side of my tongue very hard 2 days ago. the cut and hole is healed sorta, but now there is a big noticable bump. im going on a date tomorow and i need this bump to go away. anything i can do do reduce the size of the bump?

pain isnt a issue, its all healed up on the outer part of the wound. its just the bump that bothers me. i gargled salt water all dy and i see no results yet

course of distortion	1st get mouth wash then gurgle really hard until the bump starts to hurt then put on either carmax-neosprorin or vaseline id put some carmax on 1st so it will cool it down a little(and it will hurt a little) then wipe it off after 10-15 min. then put some neosporin

Coz if she is not, then there is no way she would notice the texture of your tongue. You are suffering from excessive self-consciousness. You should be much more concerned about the length and width and stiffness of your pole.

tigers4010	Be careful. Sometimes when you get an injury in your mouth, it can turn into a canker sore. I once jammed my tooth brush under my toungue and I developed one that impared my talking for 2 weeks! Not fun.

Sue O	your mouth is a haven for bacteria, so it's probably midly infected. when i get little sores on my tongue, i like to dip a cotton swab in peroxide and rub it on the sore. peroxide kills most bacteria and it makes it feel better, too. the Neosporin is oil based and you might have some trouble getting it to stay on your tongue but it will help too.

NOTE: Though biting your tongue, is very pain full , injuries, inside the mouth , heal very quickly. I hope this will be the case with yours, enjoy your date >^,,^<

virg_mack	Hey, you again, i think i answered your question the other day. Sorry if its not you lol. Keep rinsing your mouth with mouth wash. It is just a sore the bump that is. It will go away on its own in a day or two. As for your date. Tell her about it. Get some sympathy out of her. " Aww you poor baby, let me make it better." lol Hope all goes well. staffie lover from Aussie	Time is the only thing you can wait for,id suggest mixing up some water and salt in a glass, and garggling it in your mouth.

GailtheGuineaPg	Gurgling warm water seems to help mouth issues.

kelhun	Get a glass of warm water and add a couple tablespoons of salt to it, swish it around in your mouth and spit it out. Do this a couple of times a day (it may sting a little the 1st time, but it isn't that bad) It will help to heal it as well. You can also do the same thing using Hydrogen Peroxide. This also works for canker sores. Good luck and if it isn't totally healed for your date, don't stick your tongue anywhere you wouldn't want your mom to see.
