u have a high matabolism which is genetics.what u can do is go work out at the gym and u can make ur self look bigger by doin low reps of high sets like 6-8 reps to 3-4 sets. u can also use those muscle builder stuff if u really want to not look that skinny but i dont suggests it because in long term use it can might cause problem to ur liver

Fast/High metabolism. It from the chromosomes that your parents gave you. Chromosomes contain DNA which make u. Both or only one or ur parents are skinny and have high metabolism. if there both rather large, then u got a reccessive gene which means it is a gene that reccesdes in the background and shows up sometimes. Its in one of ur past genereations.

Eat only a few meals a day and eat a LOT.. Maybe it'll help slow your metabolism so you can build up bulk.. My theory is that to help build metabolism, people eat several small meals every day.. Maybe the opposite is true?

If you eat slow, you fill up faster. Try to eat faster, then you'll eat more. Eat a lot of steak and protein. You may have a fast metabolism, in which case you need to consume even more. Eat breakfast every morning. Try to workout more, to gain muscle. You'll gain weight then too.

You are thin because you are blessed with a fast metabolism. That's probably not a good thing since you are a guy.
Start consuming protein shakes or energy bars.
Work out everyday. It's better to be skinny and toned than just being skinny alone.
If you create a work out plan and began right now, you will see results by this time next week. But don't ever take breaks or get off schedule. If you need motivation, just think about how tight your abs will be :)

your metabolism is fast, so your body breaks down food fast, I'm the same way, but it slows down when you get older and then you become fatter and you'll want to loose weight.

Yea, I have the same problem, but I'm a girl. I used to have and ideal weight, but when I started stressing out a lot, and stuff, I lost my appetite for food, and lost weight. Now, I'm trying to gain it back. Since ur a guy, I think u should work out and stuff. That might help. Eat healthy 2. Eating a lot of junk food to gain weight will just make u feel worse. Been there done that. Drink plenty of milk, and eat yogurt.. good luck.

You have to take in more calories. First find out what you resting metabolic rate is. Once you find that out find out what your metabolic rate is depending on how active you are--if you have a job that requires you to be active or work out a lot or if you are sedentary. Then you figure how many calories per day you have to take in to gain weight. Remember, a pound gained is equivalent to 3500 calories. So for example, if you are about 165 pounds around 25 years of age, the calories required for your resting metabolic rate may be somewhere around 2500 calories a day. If you work out often or are very active it may be 3000-3200 calories per day just to maintain your current weight. If you increase you caloric intake to 500 calories more per day you will gain a pound a week.
Make sure not to eat to many food high in fat and eat 5-6 meals a day of around 550-650 healthy calories per meal and you will gain weight. You have to consider yourself lucky though. Most people have to work really hard to stay thin and would die for your fast metabolism.
Just google resting metabolic rate and you will find calculators that will help you find that out plus any other calculators that will help find out your metabolic rate depending on your activity level. You can go from there to determine how many calories you need to take in to gain weight and bulk up with muscle.

You may just be lucky, and have a high metabolism. If you want to be sure it's just that, get a complete physical from your doctor. I knew a woman who could never gain weight and she found out (after she reached adulthood) that she had Celiac Disease, which causes a person to not metabolize gluten (found in anything with wheat flour in it). After she switched to only eating rice flour, she started to gain weight.
Get one of those protein powders and add it to everything you eat and drink. If you just have a high metabolism, you should gain weight.
