Is there really any perfect number? I always think, when they say overweight, who came up with this so-called number, and who's number are we talking about?

What's right for some, is just not right for everyone. It depends on how you feel, and how it all fits in to you're life, not just as you would like it to be, but how it is now.

I've found out the hard way alot can depend on how many times, and how high and low you have already been on the weight scale. Going up and down can harm the vascular system, and that you need to live.

Still, I would say, it would be a relatively small number if possible. Cause' 5 2 is a pretty small frame, that also depends on frame size, small, med., or large bones.

110-130 or 140? A great life is possible no matter what the size. But not anorexically thin, o.k.? That's not in anyway, now.

it all depends on your frame and level of physical fitness. i am only 4'11 and small frame and my weight range according to Dr, is 110-115. don't starve yourself because these charts really don't mean crap. your perfect weight should be determined by what feels comfortable for you and just knowing that you are healthy.

Well it really depends on what you like, I'm 5'4 and I think I look better when I keep a LITTLE belly fat on but I dont want to be fat either nor skiny skiny so it really just depends on.

Average frame--110 lbs. Simple formula: 5 ft woman should weight 100 lbs. Add 5lbs for every inch over 5 ft. (ex:5'5"=125lbs)

Part of the problem is that a proper weight (about 110) may not look good on you, depending on frame.

Try 115 and see how that works out and looks on you

Weight & fat are not necessarily dependent. At 5'2", 130 might be the top weight for you, depending on your bodyfat levels, and your personal idea of how you want to look. It really hinges on your body composition, Lean to Fat ratio, bodyfat %, etc. I would think that anything under 110 would be pretty skinny. If you have more muscle, you will be substantially heavier at the same size than if you're more fat.

Depends on your body type...

Look up Aureveda and find out what body type you are (Dosha) to know how much weight you can comfortably carry without looking either gaunt or husky.

I'd say 120lbs is attractive and healthy. You don't want to be all skinny and frail. 115-128 is perfect. I am 5'1" and slightly over that (still trying to lose baby fat) and I just want to get back to 120lbs.

Using the BMI (Body Mass Index) which is:
[your weight in kg] / [the square of your height in meters]

and the normal range of BMI for females, which is:
18.8 - 24.9

Your weight should be between:
106 lbs and 141 lbs

However, cardiovascular fitness must be added to your health maintenance. Balance your diet and exercise adequately. Your goal is not "ideal weight" alone.

I was told once that at 5'0" you should weigh about 100 lbs. and every inch you add 5 lbs. But that is the 'perfect' weight. So for 5'2'', the perfect weight would be about 110-115 lbs. But you can give or take.

It depends upon your body frame size. But also on the distribution you already have of muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. If you are small framed, and flabby.......then that is one thing. If you are medium framed, and more solid, with a layer of fat covering firm muscle.....then you will tend to weigh more. I suggest you hit the gym, speak to one of the personal trainers, and have them to a body fat analysis. That way you aren't just looking at the numbers on the scale, which are decieving. Letting them analyze you and pinch your fat in several spots.....they can tell you exactly how much there is, and suggest ways that you can lose that, without sacrificing muscle.

I'm 5'2" average build, right now i don't have a scale, but just as well cause i have been pigging out on Halloween chocolates!

I know that i feel really good at 120 pounds anything lower than that and i feel way to thin! and my clothes hang on me.

There is a formula but i don't know where it is right now. but i think its very personal and how you feel and how your clothes feel.

From what I understand though if you are at our height and you are getting to be around 135 pounds you are overweight.

Good luck hope this helped!

Despite recent criticism, the Body Mass Index (BMI) is a widely used scale to determine normal weight. The scale takes both height and weight into account.

You can determine your BMI by doing the following calculation:

weight (lb) / height (in) = X

Then divide X by your height (in) again

Finally, multiply that answer by 703

For example, if your beginning weight is 125, and your height is 5'2" (62 in)
Calculation: 125 / 62 = 2.016129
2.016129 / 62 = .0325182
.0325182 x 703 = 22.86

According to the CDC, if your BMI falls between 18.5 and 24.9, you are in the normal weight range for your height
