Most of what I've heard from people that drink energy drinks say that they crash after a certain amount of time. And just like any other energy supplement, after a while of using them they lose their effect. You should definitely stop drinking them.
Try Whey protein. Your body turns protein into good sugar and produces a good energy. You can get it at a health food store and I think wal-mart even carries some brands. You mix it with milk, it just tastes like a vanilla shake. You can even mix in your favorite fruits and make a kind of smoothie out of it.
Or you could try Ginseng tablets, or even B-12 supplements. B-12 is really good for you. It takes a little while to work because it has to get into your system, but it helps your body produce natural energy. Or, just go to a local health food store and talk to someone that works there and knows their stuff, they should be able to recomend something for you.

Yeah, quit drinking that crap. They're not so much bad for your health, teeth, etc.. Your problem is that you're addicted. If you drink the caffiene before going to sleep, you're not going to sleep well. Sleep deprivation sucks.
Stop drinking them. As soon as you're weaned off...just take a shower as soon as you wake up. eating breakfast helps too. Fruit is good for the fructose buzz.

Energy drinks are bad for you, true. Just drink plain coffee about five times weaker than you reagular is. This will help you get rid of the headache caused by weaning yourself from the energy drinks. Have some orange juice to get your vitamins and enegry. Smile. Sleep more. I tried sleeping less than six hours, it sucks man, it makes you live a half-life. You feel like you're on drugs or drunk when you don't get enough of sleep. It's dangerous to be driving in such a state. Whatever you are doing instead of sleeping, I am sure you can modify your schedule so that you sleep 7 hours per night!

They're horrible! You said you're not big on coffee, what about Green Tea? Also, part of the reason you may not be getting much sleep is because you have crazy amounts of caffeine in your system from the drinks! Give em up.

you need to wean yourself of them first. to wake up in the morning with out feeling tired... stretch when you get up, splash cool water on your face, eat apples, toast, or drink orange juice. but those energy drinks are the cause for getting only 5 hrs of sleep at night. start slowly, try onloy drinking two a day and go down from there. take a Tylenol or ibprufen(sp) to offset the headache. i have the same problem, i drink a lot of caffiene, and always have to ween myself off of it because it starts to make me feel sick. i am currently caffeine free as of four days ago!!! good luck!!

Stop the energy drinks! You will be glad you did in the long run. Eggs for breakfast are THE best thing to eat in the morning to keep you going! I have read about eggs quite a lot and the always say that. Also orange juice will give you long lasing energy like your eggs will. Two things thats it!

yes. there are actually better alternatives.
drinking a substance called accelerade.
(its a powder that you put in water, and revitalizes your electrolytes.)
breakfast- you would be surprised what a healthy meal could do for you.
Also, what i found out is taking a nap during the day for about 20 minutes actually helps take away the feeling of being tired. Because you usually sleep for several hours, your body responds as if it had slept for that amount.
Honestly, the best thing to do is go to sleep early. I don't see why you cannot go to sleep early.
All you need to do is rearrange your time schedule and organize your life a little better.
Sleep is essential for daily activities.
I wish you the best luck.

If you believe in them and let them, fruits in the morning can start your whole day out 10x better than energy drinks, and are much better for you

Try drinking tea. A breakfast tea usually gives you enough energy for mornings. Oh, eat a good breakfast. If preparation time is a problem then eat cereals in the morning.

First of all you need to get more sleep than that. Your body is trying to tell you it needs some rest!
But, for those times that you don't get a lot of sleep, try making a smoothie in the morning. They are really easy, just throw some fruit in a blender (bananas, blueberries, orange juice, whatever). It's great for you and is full of natural sugars which will give you energy.

energy drinks are full of sugar and caffeine so it's bad for your body if you continue to drink it on a daily basis. You should try drinking vitamin water or some other healthy drinks, and the best way to get your energy back is through plenty of rest. Your body can only go for so long without much needed rest. Eat healthy and sleep more..........cut the drinks.

Stop drinking the caffeine right before you go to bed and maybe you'd sleep more than 5 hours. A good night of sleep will do you wonders. Get up, go for a walk/run/jog and get your adrenaline flowing. You will be amazed at how quickly you'll be able to fall asleep at night!

Yes those energy drinks are NO good. Go the natural way. For an optimal breakfast filled with a good combination of protein and carbs for a slow burning fuel. Here are some suggestions:
-Mixed nuts
-Sliced cheese
-Egg whites
-Whole grain toast with real butter
-Oatmeal
-"Oh Baby" bar sold at Smoothie Kings with 20 grams of protein
The KEY is to eat 5 small meals a day to keep your energy and alertness up! If you REALLY want some caffeine go for tea instead of the energy drink! Hope that helps! :)

Basically you are addicted to them. It's a physical addiction, but its also a mental addiction. If you improve your diet and try and get more restful sleep, even if you can't get more- you will notice a major difference.
It would be difficult, but try and stop taking them completely. Your body will go through a few days of withdrawal, but you will be better off in the long run.
