25 pounds in 6 months is certainly doable, especially if you're doing a lot of cardio.

But a question; are you mainly concerned with losing pounds or losing inches? If it's inches you're mainly concerned with, the best way to do that is with resistance training (weights). I know that a lot of women resist that; the idea is that lifting weights makes you bigger. However, muscle burns calories at a higher rate than other tissues do, which raises your basal metabolic rate and helps you lose fat faster. You probably don't want to bulk up, but putting on a little muscle and/or toning what you've already got will burn off the fat quicker. You might actually put on a few pounds at some point, but those pounds will look better than the ones they replace -- especially if you retain at least 15% body fat (since fat is what gives the body rounded contours).

Added bonus: if you firm up your chest muscles it lifts your bosom and makes the bust look perkier.

As long as you also watch what you eat also. Lots of vegetables, some fruit, some lean protein, some low fat or no fat dairy. Little of any thing else. Good luck.

DEFINITELY. That's a 100% realistic goal. All you would have to do is lose about a pound per week, which is a good amount to lose. Make sure you drink lots of water to flush out your system and eat your fruits and veggies. I lost 50 pounds in 1 year on Weight Watchers, so I know you can do it.

One of the biggest keys to weight loss is eating a good sized healthy breakfast. Another is exchanging fat for muscle because it will raise you metabolism and burn fat more quickly. So you should do some light weight training too. Even if your weight goes up a little at first from the extra muscle, over time your weight loss will accelerate.

Yes I think that you defiantly can. You have over seven months until your gown fitting to reach 135 (yes, I can subtract!). All that you have to remember to do is to eat really well, drink lots of water each day (the recommendation is 8 glasses, and it will also improve your skin and hair), get a good amount of sleep, exercise at least 4 times a week, and you said you were going to try for 6 times a week which is great, I can barely get out twice a week lol. And you also have to remember to stay motivated. Good luck and believe in yourself and you can do anything!

dilapnapunjabe
in order to lose weight u have to burn more calories than u eat. for example- if u eat 1800 calories and u burn 1800 calories u wont lose or gain any wait.but if u burn more than u consume,u will lose wait. u workout alot, thats good. keep in mind diet is also big part of workout. exercise eat right and do cardio. best of-luck.

chlobug26
Dang girl, you go with excercising! If you watch what you eat too you will most definitely lose the weight in time. Some helpful advice for that would be to follow weight watcher guidlines. Go to dwlz.com and look at the restaurants and food lists, its a good way to follow weight watchers without paying. With your height and weight you would probably be allowed 24 points a day. Plus you would have 30 extra points weekly for cheating. Also drink 48 ounces of water per day. No soda. Just an idea and it works!!Good luck.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm

Get an online, desktop, or cell phone diet and fitness calculator. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html

It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.

Here are two articles on how to break through a weight loss plateau:
http://www.webmd.com/content/article/86/99147.htm
http://www.webmd.com/content/pages/18/102117.htm

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier.
