please do not listen to the person before me. u must eat ,in fact the weight watchers program encourages you to eat more when dieting....

such as:
breakfast-small cereal
snack-fruit
lunch-fruit
snack-vegatbales
dinner-light meal
snack-bananna, exc.

working out will help you lose weight but not in excess. muscles weighs more than fat so if you gain enough muscle, you could be putting on more weight. glad to help, and have many wonderful memories with your husband.

i meant the first person

yes you can do it, but you will want to do it healthy or else it'll just come back on. they say two pounds a week is the most you should lose, but your shooting for around 2.5lbs. you can do most of it by just counting calories alone, but getting some excercise as well will help speed up the process.

a great website i found is www.freedieting.com which has some great calorie calculators and calorie guides. there you can caculate your daily caloric requirements and find calorie guides and other weight loss strategies.

dieting can be a challenge, so developing better eating habits is key to long term weight loss. keeping a food diary is a good strategy, as is chewing gum. telling people you work with and your relatives of your goal is also important as they can have a big influence on your progress.

as a side note, 90 lbs is probably too much, depending on your height you should probably not try to lose to much more than 60 lbs or so.

good luck, you can do it.

eat several (5 or 6) small meals a day. excersize in the morning! excersizing in the morning make your metabolism shoot through the roof. do light excersize in the evenings (yoga etc.). and most importantly, drink lots of water!

Hello soon to be wed, congrats!
I just want to say very explicitly: DO NOT STOP EATING!! It's the worst thing you can do! If you stop eating you just get very weak and an ugly kind of thin. It's how eating disorders start and it wouldn't be nice to be out of energy on your wedding day (or night for that matter). Just eat healthy and enjoy your food. You can have a snack from time to time, but don't over-eat. Running every other day is a great way to easily lose weight and get into shape.
I have a great tip to start running: download a (free!) program or podcast for you MP3 player or IPod. I have a program on mine for absolute beginners and it's great! I lose weight and my endurance has gone way up!
Good luck and congratulations!!

That is 9 lbs per month. So it is just about doable. Weight loss should be calculated at to lose 2 lbs per week. But there are 4.33 weeks in a month so if you are dilligent and don't hit any pleateaus then you should be able to lose 80. Hopefully that extra 10 is just water weight...

Annie
its a little much...people usually aim for losing 1-2 pounds a week...at least thats whats healthy...but it could be done with a lot of work...you really just have to come up with a diet that works for you and to exercise. you could count your calories, and make sure you burn more calories than you eat each day

First of all, you need to have a good eating plan, so i would recommend cutting out all junk foods, and sweets, and only eating Organic Foods, Fruits, and Vegetables. After a while, you wont crave junk, or sweets at all, you'll be dying to eat like carrots and stuff, [its kinda strange at first, haha]. Just from eating right you could lose a good amount of weight. Also i would recommend going through your kitchen and throwing away all the bad foods, and starting all over again.

As far as working out goes, you could higher a personal trainer, or join a gym. Your going to have to run like there is no tomorrow, but i would suggest getting the Nike Ipod Run Thingy, i have it, and it is such a motivator. It keeps track of your calories burned, distance, time etc, its amazing. Sorry i cant think of the Exact name of it.

Also, try finding a sport that you love to do along with going to the gym, that burns a lot of calories, take Ice skating for example, so that way, you can look forward to working out, and take a break from those long boring days at the gym.

Btw, congrats, I'm trying to lose 10 and its taking forever! Don't give up, and good luck with your wedding!

You know what? You could try Nurtisystem! Tori Spelling did it to lose the baby weight and she lost a lot of weight and she says that she Barley ever worked out!

It is doable IF YOU LEARN what makes you fat and what makes you thin. There are more diets than ever and more people dieting than ever and yet we have the fattest society ever. So a lot of these ideas about losing weight, make you fatter. Cutting calories, carbs and fats can cause you to have a weight problem for life. It is better to eat differently. See site below and learn why lean meat and non-fat yogurt are so fattening. The people counting calories are the fat people.

Also salt has no calories but makes you fat. This also has the quickest weight loss possible. Eat good carbs, not bad carbs. Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Eat foods made by nature
and avoid foods made by man which are designed to make you fat and very addicted to food. 5th link on "LINKS" page is BMI calculator to see if you are overweight.

Well, you can start by eating healthy foods. Going on calorie diets are the best diets to go on. Carb diets are TOO hard. Exercise... LOTS!!! Never, ever, ever, ever go on a starvation diet. That is way to dangerous. Losing 90 pounds in 10 will be hard work, but it's worth it. You will be very proud of your new body.

yeah definitely. work out constantly. dont ever sit down to watch t.v. or sit for hours in front of the computer. don't eat junk/fast food. eat alot of vegetables and drink lots and lots of water.

~dandy_candy~
Definitely but you will have to work hard. maybe try and take it down to increments each month and adjust accordingly. Get some great diet pills and consult with your doctor...meaning go to the doctor frequently. Work out in the morning and walk or run as much as you can. Don't eat after six and let dinner be your smallest meal. You can go on the special K diet and eat cereal. Only drink water and nothing else. Drink as much water as you can before you eat so that you will be full and won't eat as much. Take a womens one a day to make sure you are getting nutrients! Good luck. If you could I would get a personal trainer! make sure you are comfortable with them.

Feasable yes, but ask yourself your motovation to do it?
Is it for you?
During a stressfull time anyway do you want to add another 90 lbs to what you have to allready to carry?
Talk to your primary Dr. ask him/her what you think a REASONABLE SUSTAINABLE amount of weight would be to lose in 10 months?
Also no offence make your goal 8 months since your gonna want the dress to fit not swim or be tight on you.

It will be hard, but if you are determined you can get close & still eat healthy. Adapt a good 12-1500 calorie a day diet. Special K & skim milk, low fat & reduced fat everything, from bread to mayo...lots of fruits & veggies, give up the butter & soda pop and drink water, flavored water or crystal light. Reduce your red meat intake & eat skinless chicken breasts & turkey instead. Remember a serving is about the size of a deck of cards.
If you do all this and start walking for about an hour a day, now and then do it 2 x and or buy a weight machine to tone your muscles as you loose and work out 20 minutes a day 3 times a week, you can get very close to your goal and feel great at the same time.
Good Luck.

Absolutely! You can actually lose up to one pound per day in a healthy manner. But before everyone starts to freak out, I am saying that it CAN be done, not to expect that you will be able to match that. Only needing to lose an average of nine pounds per month is not going to be terribly hard with a healthy diet and exercise.
NOTE: Your actual weight loss will probably be greater in the first couple of months and will level out and stay consistant if you maintain your healthy lifestyle. So don't be discouraged if say, you lose 20 lbs the first month then 18 the next and level out to 7-9 a month after that.
Good luck and stay positive!!

its possible....its going to take dedication, if you go ut to jog every 2 days then you will be fine and you will lose about 20 pounds if you do this for a month

Well it depends on how heavy you are now and what lengths you are willing to take. Honestly, without any other details I would say this is not a realistic goal in the time frame. I commend you for deciding to lose weight, but do it slow and steady. That's really the only way to make a healthy change and keep the weight off. The only way I would say you could do that would be with surgery. Are you heavy enough to discuss that option with your doctor? If not, I suggest joining a gym and getting a personal trainer and nutritionist and (together with them) creating a plan for yourself. Look for deals at gyms that can provide those services for you to make it easy to do all at once. Support is vital! Best of luck to you and congratulations on your wedding.

Take a good vitamin complex, also two tablets of Green Tea per day. Buy a steamer and steam your foods. Try eating healthy nutritious foods when you eat, spinache salads are fantastic and don't require steaming. For exercise start doing sets of jumping jacks, when you wake up, when you watch t.v. (every commercial break is great), and before bed. Stay away from anything that contains high frictose corn syrup as a primary ingredient. Fast one day out of every 6 or 7 (neither eat nor drink, but wet your mouth should you ever be thirsty). You should drop 5 to 7 lbs. per week easy enough.

KKrazy
thats just 9 pounds per month!
work out
EAT healthy
be active
just make another promise that you would
lose 9 pounds per month or maybe even 10 or 11
pounds. eat healthy and work out maybe every other
day or what ever fits your schedule you could also
hire a personal trainer at a work place near you.

MF
Yes i think so! thats 2 pounds a week. if you really want to, you can. The main things to do would be to exercise more-start running, toneup...do situps pushups tae-bo..whatever! Stay active. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables for snacks instead of chips and stuff. Eat your three healthy meals. I think those smart ones meals are very good and are pretty low calorie. Watch out for fats also. Use an online calculator to find out your recommended fat intake daily. drink plenty of water. GOOD LUCK and CONGRADULATIONS on the upcoming wedding.

I had lost 20lbs in 2 months when I was prepping for a movie role. I kept the weight off for a year and a half. First off I had to get my mind set ready for the change. The mind set was I HAVE to lose it..just like you have to eat, drink, and sleep. Then I commit myself to a gym membership.
Since Acting was my job, I started working out 1 hour a day, every day of the week. 30 minutes of cardio, 30 minutes of weight trained (with a trainer). Each week I added 5-10 minutes more cardio..so eventually I would work out for 5 -6 hours with 1 and a half hours of weight trained and 4.5 hours of cardio. (1 hour of tread or glider machine, 1 hour weight trained, 1 hour of hip hop class, 1/2 hour of stretching, 1 hour of reggae class, 30 mintues break, 1 hour of african dance, 1/2 hour of stretching) Meanwhile, I completely cut out cardohydrates. So after 2 months, I dropped the weight. My appetite went down, and I started working out normal, 1-2 hours 5 days a week, then 5 small meals per day incorporating good carbohydrates. And that's how I maintained the weight off. I know it sounds like a lot but you basically have to start on a more severe regime if you want to see result. If you just eat healthy and work out 3 times a day like everyone, expect to lose 20lbs. Good Luck! Take pictures to inspire yourself.

well first, you should be doing it only for yourself, and not for your fiance.

second if you plan to lose about 10 pounds a month, that should be fine.

third, you should try weight watchers, because it is a greazt program.

good luck :)

i love k
You could use an average of 9 pounds a month and the best way is Weight Watchers. Walk, walk and walk....

yes, but not by talking about it..by DOING it...You need to cut out ALL the junk food for starters. Every last bit of it. Next, you need to eat a sensible balanced diet. Forget about those crazy low carb, extreme reduced calorie diets. Next, you need to start excercising...start slow..go for a half hour walk after dinner ...3 times a week for the first month. then 4 times a week...the next month.. Then you will be so impressed at having lost about 20 pounds..that you will be super motivated....!!!! You will want to move up to the point where you are maintaining a healthy eating regime with 20-40 minutes of exercise or movement per day..that's after 3-4 months.....if you keep this up, your goal is attainable.

2-3 pounds a week is a safe weight loss goal..that's 8-10 pounds a month..in 10 months, you should realistically achieve your goals. Don't give up!!

It's very feasible. Cut your portion size in half - only eat half as much as you usually do. If you're still hungry then eat raw veggies and fruit. Limit your refined carbohydrates and sugar. Eat lean meats. Don't drink soda pop, drink only water, tea or coffee (black) and fruit juice without added sugar. Exercise at least 3 times a week for an hour each time. You can do it! You only have to lose a little over 2 pounds a week.
