possibly. because mountain dew is so high in sugar. but have you changed your eating habits at all? if not maybe your just growing, you are 16 this is kind of your heightened time for growing. I don't think you should worry but if you stop drinking soda for a few days see if your weight fluctuates at all and this might be the answer. even if its just a lb difference. but its unlikely its the soda alone. I wouldn't worry chances are your just growing.

the best way to loose weight is to drink water - it fills you up and actually after a few weeks on water diet it evens stops the cravings. Every person should drink at least 6-8 glasses (8oz) of water. Every time you feel like a snack, drink a glass of water before

Doubtful, both those sodas are just as bad for you. You mustve made a change in your activity levels or diet. Just be aware of what you're eating, and how much activity you're getting. It doesn't take much to gain a lot of weight in only weeks.

Males tend to put on weight before vertically climbing. Understand? Your body needs the extra weight (usually minerals and fat) to grow the few inches. Basically its necessary, and you should expect it to happen a few more times between now and the age of 21.

You either read the scale wrong when you said you weighed 155 or you have been eating a lot. If that's not it, then you need to see a doctor and find out what all the weight gain is about.

Not necessarily, your metabolism could be slowing. Or it could just be puberty hormones. accept the fact that now you are becoming an adult, your body will do what you want ONLY if you eat well, exercise regularly, and make an effort not to get stressed out too much. The latter may sound difficult to accomplish, but the bottom line is that your life is your own responsibility and will be the end result of your efforts.

Yea stop drinking soda, most of them contain the ingredient 'sodium benzoate' and is proven to be harmful to the body and even tho not totally proven - to cause cancer.

The change in soda and the soda period is your problem, mountain dew is one of the most fatty, sugary, caffeined soda you can drink. You should go back to dr pepper or diet soda. Try drinking juice and milk with your lunch. Try not drinking more than 3 32oz sodas a week. Good Luck!

Don't drink ANY fizzy drinks. They are so packed with sugar it's a bloody joke they can get away with selling that crap.
If you are serious about losing weight, drink water with lemon or just water whenever you're thirsty. Cut out as much sugar as you can from your diet and replace it with high fibre foods.

Maybe. Go off on pop for awhile. Or ask your doctor's nurse if you should go in to see him/her about your situation. Good luck!

Maybe you should substitute 1 soda a day with a glass of water, juice, or milk. Also it might not just be the soda , try eating at least 3 healthy foods a day.

Lay off the sodas, and watch your food intake. You should be fine. Males usually lose weight pretty fast.
