No. There's no such thing - unless you are referring to osteopetrosis or perhaps Paget's disease. But to blame obesity on "big bones" is ludicrous.
To lose weight, you generally must do two things: EAT LESS and EXERCISE MORE. The first concept: EAT LESS works best.

Yes, its a condition where your body continually produce Human Growth Hormone (Hgh) call acromegaly. You may remember famous people having it such as Andre the Giant and the guy who made tallest man in the Guiness Book of Records.

Yes, my son's girl friend was 5'4", her best friend was 5' 4", I could not believe how skinny his girl friend was after seeing that little thing pack food away.
Her best friend, weighted in at about 25 pounds less, her shoulders were barely bigger then her head. Her wrists were teeny, tiny. She wore a size 4 show, she too ate. When I saw her family, I understood. Dad was tall and slender, Mom was tall and slender- very time frames.
I see other girls, same height, not over weight but much larger, they have bigger bones.
There is such a thing.

Yes. Some people have larger bones than others. But it won't make you appear fat. That's a myth.

Yep. People have different sizes of their bones. Kinda like small, medium, and large. Take your wrist (behind the hand, but right above that round bump; it's the only part of your body with no fat) and put your pointer finger and thumb around it. If you thumb and finger overlap each other... you are small boned. If your thumb and finger just meet... you are average. If your Thumb and your fing can't meet... your big boned. Learned it in a beauty conference.

Yes and no. There are fat people out there that like to say such things to take the blame off of themselves for appearing fat. At the same time, bones do not come in one size fits all.
There are people who have a smaller bone frame, have a medium bone frame, and have a larger bone frame.
For example, I would have a medium build because I can easily make my finger and thumb touch when circling my wrist. My sister has a small frame because her finger and thumb overlap when around her wrist. Finally a person with a larger frame or "big bones" would not be able to make their fingers touch at all.
I do think there are big bones, that is why I look slim as a size 9 while I would look anorexic as a size 4 even though I am short.

People can be big boned, but too many use it as an excuse.
Big boned and fat are entirely different things. You see I'm technically big boned, but I'm also rather athletic. Unfortunately, that's one of the reasons I've had people call me 'sir'. Muscle over 'big bones' is not very feminine...
I am by no means fat. I was actually underweight most of my life. Before I had to exercise as much as I do for the Army, I had entirely different problems. I ate like I was part elephant and I never threw any of it up (except when I got a 24 hr. stomach flu-I'd lose 10 lb.s in a day). Yet, I always had someone offering to help me find counseling for anorexia/bulimea.
Being fat and being big boned are two ENTIRELY different issues.

Well, I have very wide shoulders. I'm 5'9 and about 190lbs.
I'm a guy, my ideal weight is about 180-185. If you look up my height on a chart, It says I should be 155-170.
If I were 170 I'd look anorexic. Even at 180, my face looks a bit too thin.
So, in my opinion, YES.

I think so but I don't think there are too many people that actually mean it. My hips are kind of big so I try not to lose too much weight because I would look really odd if I did.

Some people do have larger frames and with a larger frame you naturally will have SLIGHTLY larger bones.
However, fat is fat.

yes, you can have a different frame size i think it has to do with the size of your wrists. some things are just more dense. if you pick up a tiny cube of lead it's a lot heavier than a tiny cube of sugar the same size, some people are solid.
then again, some people are just fat too.

yes its true, but not in the sense you are talking about. i weigh 189 and i am 5'11". someone that is the same height as me and weighs 250, technically has the same size bones as me. not someone that is 7' could have larger bones than me.

Yes there is in fact, it's how far apart your bones are set. Of course if you 400 pounds you can't say that you are "big boned," but some people like to think that.
