Lipton Iced tea is fine. Bare in mind, you don't need to go overboard with the water intake, 8 glasses a day is recommended for most people. (Unless you're an athlete in which case you would need drink more.)
I would not drink black tea when eating dinner, it prevents the body from absorbing iron, but it's fine to drink at other times during the day. Tea in general is not going to make that much of a difference to your weight.

tea is pretty much just sweetened water. If you drink it unsweetened then you may as well say it is the same as drinking water

As long as you are drinking enough water....a glass of unsweetened tea should not be a problem. The calories imparted by the steeping tea would be minimal at best.

Honestly as long as you do enough exercise to counter your caloric intake you could eat/drink just about as much of anything you wanted to. If you are really worried about the amount of calories in the tea, just do enough of a physical activity to make up for it.

Sure, everyone needs to live a little.
If you are afraid of weight reprecussions there are little packets of water flavoring you can buy at the grocery store. They contain splenda so they dont set you back at all. Sorry I dont know the brand, but you can check for them the next time you go.

There is no substitute for water. Do not just drink tea instead of water. Tea will act as diuretic.
It is completely find to have a Lipton iced tea. But if you are trying to lose weight, the consensus is that Green Tea promotes weight loss. I have at least 64 ounces of water everyday and usually two to three cups of Green Tea.
Don't be afraid to drink tea, just make sure there is no added sugar and still drink plenty of water.

Tea is basiclly water, no calories, soduim (salt), or sugar, so drink up!
but it is only healthy to drink that much water if you are 140 pounds.you are only supposed to drink half your weight in ounces to increase your matablism!

Tea has no calories, but does have caffeine--which can dehydrate you. It would be best to get decaffeinated or herbal tea--there is a large selection.

it's ok to have some but not a lot. it has calories so when you get bored of too much water sip some tea but do not substitude for water.

Yes, but have a straight-up water now and again. Also try a little lemon now and again with either water or tea to clean your system.

Go right ahead. If you are just drinking 1 or 2 glasses or tea a day, the amount of caffeine and tannin acids are so small that they won't really impact your diet or health. However, remember, the caffeine at dinner time may make it a little harder to fall asleep. Try it for a week and see if you notice a difference. Lipton's also makes a decaf version.

Tea is good, but don't cut out all your pure water. A better alternative is to get those powdered lemonaide packets for waterbottles. My friend only drinks those and she is doing great and even losing wieght.

Unsweetened tea is fine, with two provisos:
1. No more than 2 cups per day. Black tea prevents your body's absorption of iron.
2. No milk in tea. Milk offsets the heart benefits in a cup of tea. (Actually, the odd cuppa tea with milk and sugar is not gonna kill you!)

There is no reason to drink that much water. Tea is very good for you. If you want to lose weight, you need to exercise and eat a balanced, sensible diet.

Yes, at one time it was thought that the caffeine in tea and coffee caused you to be dehydrated. This was found to be bunk for folks who regularly drink it. So, drink away. Water is water whether it is flavored or not.
