500 calories is about one sandwich all day. 5'2" hmm anywhere between 100-130 is about normal for that height. with the way you eat they should tie you to a hospital bed and force feed you before your brain becomes under developed from lack of food like most anorexic girls. Eat more and don't think about your weight as long as your active and feeling well then your fine.

You want to be around 1000 calories at thirteen minimum. You are not exactly unhealthy, but you do need to increase your dietary intake gradually. You need to work your way up to 2000 calories as soon as possible. Remember, calories does not mean fat. Just eat healthy, and raise the calorie intake.

Ugghhhh.......... 2,000 calories a day is the recommended amount for older teenagers and adults people, 500 is a little low, but ok for a 13 year old. If you increased it to 1,000 calories a day, you would still be ok, and would get to enjoy a few more...... treats... LOL....... Even at 1,000 calories a day you would at most get to 100-105lbs. which is not bad AT ALL for being 5'2" and still growing. People who call you anorexic probably say so because your are really skinny, and there is such a thing as TOO skinny as there is such a thing as being TOO over weight, you need to find a balance. Get a little more meat on your bones, just to cover those ribs a tad.
This is a serious answer, i'm being sincere. Take my advice if you please.

First of all, yes you are underweight. You should weight between 105 and 115 pounds.
If you stayed in bed all day and did absolutlely no physical activity at all, you would still be burning about 1200 calories a day. 500 calories is to few...you should be eating 1200-1500.
An easy way to eat 1200-1500 healthy cals is to eat breakfast that contains a dairy, grain, and fruit (try toast, cereal, oatmeal, milk, yogurt, fresh or dried fruit). For lunch, have a salad, soup, or sandwich with fruit and milk or yogurt on the side. For dinner have a meat such as hamburger, chicken, turkey, pork etc., a grain like rice, pasta, or bread, a veggie like green beans, broccoli, even salad, a fruit, and a glass of milk. If you keep eating only 500 calories a day, you will be missing essential nutrients. Also, the lack of fats and proteins that you are certainly missing will stunt your rate of growth and development.

I think you're calculating incorrectly, 'cuz 500 calories is nowhere close to enough. However, your weight sounds pretty okay to me, though depending on your body shape you could stand to gain a few pounds. My advice is to have a chat (at your next physical or sooner if you can) with your family dr. about healthy eating. Good luck! :-]

u will get down in a few weeks if u really take only 500kcaldaily....people in yr age need more than 1200kcal per day...also dont 4get that u grow up now and the next 5 years...yr diet is poor ...u r not able with these kcals to take vitamins-proteins & etc is impossible.also if u havent period yet u can create problem on this issue, if u have also. if u believe that u cannot control yrself then talk to yr parents and visit a dietitian. heshe is able to inform u and give a diet that u wont take weight and u will eat correct

a healthy amount of calories is AT LEAST 1200 for any size person. 500 is barely anything. i cant see you getting in all the vitamins and nutrients you need with only 500 calories. i dont know how you eat your calories but that isnt healthy for anyone. i would try to eat more food and to stay your weight exercise some calories off.

Your weight will improve as you grow more, just ensure you are getting enough vitamins and nutrients to maintain your health. As for 500 caloric intake, that is just plain insufficient and unhealthy. Your caloric intake should coincide with your activity level and 500 is not enough even if you plan to be in bed all day. About 1,500 should be enough for you. Please start taking care of yourself...

You are doing serious damage to yourself by eating so little on a regular basis, you may not see the damage now but if it get worse you could be in some serious trouble. Get off the computer right now and eat something!

no i believe this is not healthy, esp cus you are 13. you are still a growing child, and people calling you "anorexic" are signs that you are not getting the nutrition you need. heck, a hamburger meal is a lil more than 500 cals. i suggest you try at least 1200. if you think you are "fat" please think the other way. you are not fat. even if you were, you could still be healthy. please take health in consideration. don't let beauty overcome your health. you are perfectly normal, but if you continue to eat this way, you are not normal and you will be unhealthy. please let me tell you, if you are on a diet, stop. you don't need to lose weight, if you think people are going to judge you because you are "fat", well let them be. you are who you are and i dont' think you should be influenced by other people's opinion. esp the media and how they portray the celebs. seriously, there are many people out there who look beyond the skin. its all about your personality.

No, you're not healthy. At 13 you shouldn't be overly concerned with calories. You should be eating somewhere around 1800, and regularly exercising (playing ball, dancing, gymnastics...whatever.) You could permanently damage your body by being so restrictive, and not develop in ways a normal, healthy 13 year old girl should. You should talk to your mom about this, and if she can't/won't help you, maybe talk to your doctor or school nurse, health/gym teacher.

NO it is not healthy-you can find your bmi by 730(weight in pounds) divided by your height in inches-and then your height in inches again.
(730w /h)/h or 730w/h/h
730 x 90= 65700
5'2=62 inches
so 65700/62=1059.68(i rounded)
then you divide 1059.68/62=17.09
17.09=sry hun, your underweight. by not by much.
Biggest suggestion:you should try to eat more, like 1500 calories more. (total around 2000) and maybe exercise a little to be strong and healthy. =D
You might also want to get an eating plan etc. from your doctor
