what you are doing is not going anorexic, but it is still not good for you. Diets are not good because they cut out nutrients that you need. I've learned through my health class that the best way to stay healthy is to get regular exercise and eat the right amount from every food group. A good website you can go to is mypyramid. com - it has a lot of tips.

its alright to do this, meat is good for u as long as its not friend. eat any fruits and vegitables u want. dont eat white bread, wheats good, but try to stay away from breads as much as posible. also good lunches r tuna, eggsalad or ham, turkey, with cheese without bread.
if u keep that up till july you will lose about 20lb's or more

i mean i am 13 and 115 pounds! but you arent gonna lose weight by becoming a vegan! i mean i am a vegetarian and well i have been doing it for a while though, plus i do track, tennis, and other sports... you need to exercise like two hours per a day and eat healthy too! maybe you'll lose 30 pounds by july... IDK

you won't die. and you will probably lose alotta weight by july. but honestly, i think you should just try to eat small portions of food as opposed to only friuts and veggies because you still need all the nutition in the other foods that you wouldn't be eating.
i was bulemic for two years on and off and trust me honey, that is not the way you want to go. i know you're talking about anerxia, but if that doesn't work don't go bulemic. its addicting after awhile.

you need protein for energy. without it, you won't be able to exercise, and dieting, exercise, and water is the only healthy way to lose weight. with a safe weight loss of 2-3 pounds per week, you should be able to lose 10-15 pounds by july if you work really hard and do it right-- WITHOUT being anorexic!

actually vegans eat protein sources and take supplements as well because fruits and vegetables is not a stable diet . crash dieting never works you will lose weight but gain it back. try dr.phils weight loss for teens, or weight watchers. also diet is not the only thing to change, exercise also.

Vegans also eat protien like beans and chickpeas as well as whole grains. Please incorporate some of those into your diet. If you body isn't getting the right nutrients it puts itself into a sort of "hibernation" type state where it does everything it can to save energy and conserve fat. If you don't eat any protien and whole grain, this is what will happen. PLUS you will get really constipated because you won't have enough fibre, and you have ANY energy so don't expect to be out exercising much even if you really want to. I think that if you really want to lose weight, you have the right idea with giving up processed foods and refined sugar and eating bad foods, but if you really want it to work, you need some other stuff too. As for how much weight you'll lose, it depends on how much exercise you do, and your current metabolism etc. 1-2 pounds a weeks is reasonable.

No you wouldn't die like that yet, but there are healthy alternatives to loosing weight. Eating healthy is as important as working out.
Don't get discourage about being over weight. You are young and your metabolism is still in full swing, meaning that you can make a change if you wish to do so health wise.
Perhaps you can have a daily meal plan and a work out schedule. Having a healthy plan is the best way to go about doing this. Anorexia is not a healthy and safe choice or option to make when making healthy changes.

You could lose about 25lbs by July if you do it safely. But be careful about taking weight off really quickly, because it can go back on just as quickly- you slow your metabolism down, so if you do eat normally again, you gain weight back. Good luck with it, anyway!

How tall are you because i weigh 140 but im 5 10 and its not like im huge. and even if you 5 foot 4 thats what my sis ways and she doesnt look all that bad so No worries. But if you decide to lose weight thats not the way to go if I weighed about 155 and now im down to 140 and all I did was watched what i ate, I played a lot of basket ball ( if you dont like basket ball then just play a sport you like or just exsercise) and thats it it probably isnt good for you to cut out meat though you need protein or else you can really hurt your body. If i were you I would just cut out all bad stuff (especially carbs those are no good )

And Anorexia does not even compare to going Vegan. Vegans just don't eat meat and get their nutrients else where. Anorexia completely robs the body of the nutrients IT NEEDS TO FUNCTION!

no offense but do you know anything about anorexia?? It sounds like yes, you are overweight, but you need to find a healthy diet. At first you might lose weight with that diet you mentioned, but later your body will go into starvation mode and hold onto fat. You will mostly lose muscle. Look up the side affects of eating disorders. Trust me they're not fun! Unless you really want to ruin your life or end it

For one thing if you were truly anorexic you wouldn't be on here asking questions. Not trying to be mean. I have been suffering with this horrible disease for nearly 6 years and it is now killing me slowly and very painfully, and there is no turning back from the damage I have done to myself. I dined having any problems with eating for 31/2 years. Nearly died twice by near heart attacks. Been fed by tubes that went down my nose to my stomach. Been in rehab twice, and been in psychiatric facilities to get help. Every time I had a bowl movement pieces of my intestines and other organs came out, and I had to use the bathroom ever couple of minutes, if that continued I would have died already. If I ever relapse losing over 5 lbs by restricting I will die. I get sick all the time, I have poor self-esteem, eye site, energy, and will probably die early. Everyday I battle myself, and I am now 20. Ask yourself if this is what you want. Is this the life that you want. I hope not, because if I could I wouldn't want the life I have now. You end up having many emotional and physical problems as well as mental ones. Trust me it is not worth it just to be skinny. Eat healthy, exercise, and be happy with who you are. Trust me this is not the road you want to go down.

Well, okay, at least you're not going buleimic. That will ruin your teeth (or did you think stomach acid didn't dissolve tooth enamel?). It sounds like what you're actually doing is seeking a drastic change in diet to help you lose weight. Here's my two cents.
First, choose fruits and vegetables that have a balanced nutritional value. Eating nothing but oranges every day will give you lots of vitamin C, but you'll be missing out on Potassium and Vitamin A. If you eat nothing but bananas, you'll get the Potassium, but miss out on the vitamin C. Ya dig? So do the research: go online and find out what your body needs as far as nutritional value. Protien's a big one, and that's usually found in meats, like chicken and beef, but some can be found in beans and other legumes. So figure out what your body needs to keep functioning and then look up what fruits and veggies have those. Oh, don't forget iron. Broccoli, spinach and other dark green leavy veggies have that in abundance. Trust me, you want the balanced nutrients, vitamins and minerals. Organ failure is irreversable and a painful way to die, and I don't think you're trying to accomplish the "skeleton" look.
Two: water is great, but you CAN have too much. Don't drink much more than 64 ounces a day, and have a glass of skim milk every day. One 8 ounce glass of skim milk not only helps with Calcium (and at your age, Calcium is CRUCIAL) it also helps you lose weight. They don't know exaclty why yet, but something about the way it metabolizes helps you shed pounds. One glass a day should do it. If your pee is clear, hold off on the water a bit. Like I said, you CAN overdose on water, and it will kill you. Slowly. And painfully. (Just read the articles about the woman who died during the contest "Hold Your Wee For A Wii" where she drank a gallon of water in a sitting and died at the hospital.)
Third, if you're going to be strict dieting, you will have to exercise incredible willpower and say no to a lot of tasty treats. If you go practically vegan, but eat cake or chocolate, you've failed. Period. No soda. No ice cream. Nada.
Lastly, exercise. You wanna shed pounds? Get off your butt and get on the street. Just 15 minutes of brisk walking a day cuts breast cancer risk, strengthens bones, and boosts your immune system. Oh, yeah, and it also tells your metabolism to get off its lazy behind and start burning pounds. You want to lose weight, diet is half of it. The other half is exercise, and it won't do any good to scarf sprouts and watch TV all day. It's not easy, 15 minutes a day, you'll be tempted to "well, not today" or "Ill make it up tomorrow". Don't you dare. The good news is all you need is one solid block of fifteen minutes to do it. And just walk quickly. That's all. Doesn't have to be a marathon.
