well done! even ur only 12 u already started learn how to be matured and adore urself congrats!!! But in order to achieve ur goal important thing is what is ur BMI? are this 10 pnd make u overweight or underweight? if it o/weight then u need to exercise and have a balance diet in ur meal. try to eat less fat and more on fibre. my tips for u try not eat heavy meal after 7pm eat only fruits or sandwich and don't forget to drink a lot of plain water or fresh juice instead junk drinks. but do remember crush diet only make u suffer in future the key to succeed and have both beauty and healthy is using a proper diet and exercises and please search web that can give u more info. Well, I'm 13 and I, too, am trying to lose weight. I do about 80 crunches per day and 45 sit ups? Try to alternate cardio like jogging and jumping rope per day. About 20 mins should do, for cardio (esp. if you are like me, I HATE RUNNING!) but yeah, I don't think you need to lose THAT much weight, but I guess it's good if you get fit right?

if u over weight try this first sports get Ur self in any school sport activity. second don't eat late at night .eat Ur last meal
before 8. eat fruit as much as u can and most of all enjoy Ur life doesn't matter what fat or slim

5 pounds a month for a 12 year old. piece of cake. only you can't eat it . I heard a man say that he lost 82 pounds in a year by cutting out soda. so no junky stuff . low cal fudgecicles are good, and the little squares of hershy bars every now and then are ok. otherwise ,just eat a little less than normal of what you normally eat and never refill your plate .

which if you're not then don't lose weight because you're still growing so your body needs calories...
decrease the amount of high-fat/high-calorie foods somewhat, and exercise

it must be hard growing up, when all around you, you see diets for this and diets for that. a good balanced diet combined with regular exercises should doe the trike, you can loose wight by helping around the home cleaning dusting this is ideal exercises, you don't Fancie that then go running join a club walk to school or the shops. but rely i would not worry about it to much. good luck.

Okay, what I did was sleep a lot and focus on other things than eating, but you know, I still ate. I also started getting more active, like running around, or (what I do) hang out with little kids (3-6) because they are so hyper all of the time!

Just eat healthy!
Don't get too carried away, you have to eat.
But eating carrots or other fruits for snacks, and bringing water bottles to school, and drinking them during classes are good habits to start.
I'm 16 and lost a lot f weight when before I went into high school.
I've kept it off since then by continuing to eat right and exercising [running or doing crunches--if you can, take pilates classes, theyre great!!!]
Ask your mom to go to the super market, instead of buying regular potatoe chips get kettle baked potatoe chips, and for breakfast get multi-grain cheerios and pick out some good fruits.
[cheerios are also good for taking on the run when your running out the door to catch the bus!]
pretzels are good, you can throw them in a ziplock bag and snack on them in class.

Everyday You need to exercise and run ALOT like maybe a mile but dont over exert your body if you cant do it but eat right like your fruits and veggies and NO JUNK FOOD :)

What should you do? I think you should have a more positive body image. I think you should put on your favorite shirt and tell yourself you look good in it, whether or not it's loose on you. I think you need to worry that your body is healthy, not that it's heavy. I think you should drink a big glass of soymilk and go to bed.

first of all you are only 12 and there is no reason why you should be trying to lose weight you are just a child and honey to be honest with you, you shouldn't even be worrying about things like this rite now at this time in your life. you should be doing child things and it sounds to me that you are trying to hard to be liked by someone else and if that's the case you should find better people to be your friends like people that like you for you.if you feel that you are over weight then you should talk with your parents and they can get you the help you need and they will have it done the rite way. but just remember that you are just a child and you have your whole life ahead of you honey. good luck

i think your crazy for wanting to lose weight when your only 12! you still have a lot of physical changes coming so don't do anything drastic! but one great way to lose weight is to do a lot of walking. walk fast paced for 6 days a week. around 45 minutes or more for burning fat. it is the best exercise all around, good for your heart and body but make sure you stay hydrated! i don't want you falling over from dehydration. eat more fruits and veggies, lay off the fast food, stop the fried foods, don't drink soda, but still eat 3 times a day or more. if you eat 5 or 6 times a day with smaller portions you will actually burn more calories.

Like the dietitians say, eat veggies, fruits, salads; stay away from fast foods, sodas, etc. No excuses for traveling, holidays, or birthdays. ANYONE can lose weight. If you don't think so, just remember the pictures of people in a concentration camp. Many of them were fat when they entered. Now ALL are skinny. The basic issue is to reduce calories. Fat has 9 calories per gram, carbs 4.6, protein 4, alcohol 7. Go figure. Exercise because it is good for your mind and body but do not count on it for losing weight.

eat good food that you like. and do fun exorize like dancing or iceskating. im 12 also and i eat alot, but i dont hardly gain any weight because i do musical theater, and hip-hop jazz dance class. but dont try to loose too much weight, just stay at the healthy level. im about 110 lbs.

Something easy you say.....does that include exercise? If you exercise, then it's pretty easy. Try to avoid all fast foods as those are extremely unhealthy and fattening. Don't snack on unhealthy foods (sweets and such), fruits should be okay if you don't eat a lot of them at once. Not sure how your diet is now, but if you eat 3 meals a day - this isn't the best course to do as your stomach will literally shrink once it gets used to it but eat 2 meals a day instead. That's sort of an extreme so the last option isn't that great of a choice. But truly, just eat healthy (not too much fat or calories or simple carbohydrates - i.e. candy - and limit consumption of protein - mainly any type of meat - as unused protein gets stored for later use and I believe is converted to fat) and exercise regularly for at least an hour.

Cut out all sugars (caffeine, pop, cookies, etc.). If you eat those on a regular basis, that alone could knock off the pounds...and you will feel so much better. I really want to pull "Mom rank" on you right now and tell you that no 12 yr old should be concerned with her weight...but I do not know you or your situation. Be wise about weight loss and do not let it consume your life, please!

In general, some 12 yr olds have no need to lose weight yet think that they do...however, some do legitimately need to lose weight. Sounds to me like 10 pounds in 2 months is perfectly reasonable and healthy so this person might actually need to. Try the above suggestions, eat sensibly, excersize moderately.. 2 months should be easy.
