Flat Butts. The Facts... is it curable? Unless you have back that extends down towards your knees your butt isn't flat. Before I begin this synopsis let me state that I am a Black Male with what people use to refer to as a flat "not black" butt. And I'll be the first to admit I tend to fit better in Gap jeans than Phat Farm or Fubu. But that doesn't stop me for getting kudos. You need to understand body sculpting and clothing fit to overcome this malady. First if you don't do Squats, Lateral Lunges and Heavy Lunges... no wonder you have a flat butt. Making a shapely butt takes hard work and lots of dynamic movements. Don't be afraid of the Squat Rack in your gym. Dumb Squats are cute but they don' t engage enough gluteal (butt) muscle fibers to promote growth and sculpting. The Gluteus Maximus (Butt) Is one of the most powerful muscles in the body. I REPEAT THE GLUTEUS MAXIMUS IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL MUSCLES IN THE BODY. And rightly so without it you couldn't stand up, jump or walk sideways. I suggest you find a friend or personal trainer to introduce you to squats, heavy lunges and lateral lunges. Also Clothing fit is important. You need to go into Gap or your favorite store and find out what size and fit of pant/jean works best for you. When I worked at Gap and Ann Taylor Loft I was amazed at the number of women who didn't know the right fit or size pant to wear. Go try on some jeans and see what works. The people at Gap "get off" on a good jean sizing.. that and selling Gapcards.... I hope that helps. I put some links to Squats and other butt building exercises and find the right fit of jean 101. Your butt may be flat now but that will change and your clothes will show it. |

well it could be not flat but they think it is ...i would say screw them who cares what they say...but if you think that u have a flat but they try to go up and down the stairs 10 times a day or so...u will build muscle in ur butt :) |

If you have a flat butt (and even if you don't) stair stepping type exercises do a lot to help. That is the secret of a couple of 50 year old guys in tights at the Renaissance Festival. When the stairs stop working, that's when they will retire (they say). |
