Your probably messing up your metabolism. Make sure you are eating all throughout the day. Also do some weight training. It will give you more muscle mass and therefore raise your metabolism and get rid of fat faster.
Don't starve yourself. Good luck!

You're not burning more calories than you're consuming. You need to burn more calories. I wouldn't eat any less than 1000 cals a day, though, or else you'll be starving yourself.

Are you sure you are counting correctly? When looking at labels make sure you are looking at serving sizes too. If for example you have a can of soup that says 200 calories- the 200 calories is for 1 serving, if the can has 2 1/2 servings the calories would be 500 if you ate the whole can.
Also you should not only eat 1000 calories- 1200 is minimum- less than that your body goes into starvation mode & shuts down your metabolism (energy) & you burn calories slower than normal. When I diet I try to stay between 1200 - 1500 calories & take one day a week & eat whatever I want (within reason)- for some reason that one day a week gives me an energy boost & I still lose 2 pounds a week.

Your metabolism might have gotten used to your current diet. If you try eating around 5-6 small portioned meals a day, that will increase your metabolism and help you get past that slump in your diet. Also you should try to throw some cardio and weight training exercises into your daily routine if you haven't already done so. Good luck :)

Wow, you should definitely be consuming more calories per day! You should increase the calories, and in turn exercise, or intensify your exercising. It's really important to keep your body well-nourished, unless your going for the frail and pale look, which is definitely unattractive.

1,000 calories is probably just bordering on low enough to risk a starvation mode switch in your metabolism. You body is desperately trying to conserve calories and you lose little or no weight.
I suspect since you don't mention it that the missing puzzle piece is exercise, or rather the lack of it. Try a minimum of 30 minutes of VIGOROUS exercise 5 days a week and I bet the weight will melt off. This is also the MINIMUM recommendation for good health anyway. As a bonus youi will improve your looks, muscle tone and lifespan!

Why on earth would you want to lose weight? When I was a young woman I had a perfect figure and weight 8st 4lbs. I was also 5ft 3ins. You have probably reached the weight you are meant to be.

Not only diet, but diet and excersize... Try also drinking a lot of water as well, sometimes your body stores water (becomes extra "baggage") when it knows you're not getting enough water... So try drinking more water as well...

There are two possible explanations for this situation. The first, and possibly the most likely is that you are not counting your calories correctly. The second possibility is that you are not doing enough exercise during the day to burn 1000 calories, and this is hard to believe unless you are flopped out all day in front of the TV or maybe don't get up till 3 in the afternoon. I don't intend to be rude but 1000 calories a day will not provide much energy and is the usual basis for a rapid weight loss diet. If you are less than 45 years old and working at least 25 hours a week it will be very, very unlikely that you could survive on 1000 calories a day. I think you might need to review your calorie counting method.

ok first, you dont need to lose a lot of weight as you are healthy.
secondly, you should try to eat more cals as this speeds up your metabolism and helps you burn up food.
thirdly, you should drink water but not to much as this can lead to bloating and lastly try to get 30mins of exercise a day.

ok.. so you dont eat carbs nor meat. Where do you get your calories from? It's hard to eat only vegi's (which provide the good kind of carbs) and fruit and nuts for it add up to 1000 calories a day... Are you using protein liquid meal replacements? Something does not add up here.
First... are you only hungry for 1000 calories a day? When I work, and then work out (I do anywhere from 1 - 2 1/2 hour work outs a day) and try to live on fewer calories.. there is just no way.. I get dizzy and feel like i'm going to pass out. There may be some days where I drop to 1000 calories, but those are usually days that i'm not active at all... but if i'm working out, shopping, working, anything that requires more than just sitting all day then I have to eat more calories then that. Listen to your body, it knows what it wants, but in this case I think its screaming "feed me".
You're focusing way to much on LBS vs inches... you need to gain muscle (which will cause an increase in weight cause muscle weighs more than fat) but you will be creating a toner healthier looking body.
My best friend and I were just talking about this... she used to wear a size 8 but was sooo small and fit .... she looks bigger now and wears a size 5.
The size of clothing you can fit into or the pounds on the scale is not everything. Go by how you feel and how you look and how clothes fit on your body.

Your body needs something like 1200+ (1340 generally) calories just to survive and tick over. Your Basal Metobolic Rate (BMR) is what you body will use in calories when you do nothing whatsoever. Your resting heart uses energy, your brain uses energy, your body growing (hair, nails etc.) uses energy, twitching, sleeping all this uses energy. I believe you need to get a personal evaluation unique to you, as something is not adding up here.

Ok so the simple answer, although not the most obvious, is that you are not eating enough! Instead of having a small amount of calories and expecting your body to lose weight, you're actually starving it, so what it is doing is storing everything you put into, including fat. You HAVE to eat fat in order to survive. No one, no matter how small they are should eat less than 1200 calories a day, as a very minimum. try eating about 200-500 more cals a day, and combine this with exercise. The combined effort means that your body won't be starving and storing fat, and you will lose weight through the exercise.

your not eating enough... honestly your not. Your body will soon go into the mode of wasting away your muscle.
If you want to really loose weight, try this:
Start doing a 30 minute a day work out, alternating days do both weight training (dont have actual weights, just use can foods or books) and aerobic (jumping jacks, running, walking, etc). Your body needs to recoup after weight training and doing aerobic exersizes help off set those days.
Next try a healthy eating schedule. Your body needs the food and nutrients to burn off the fat and exersize will help you build muscle. Muscle helps your metabloism work faster
I follow the Curves eatting suggestions and this is what they suggest:
Eat 3 meals a day and 2 snacks a day (for a total of 5)
During the day you should be eating the following mix:
1600 Calories
180 Grams fo Carbohydrates
120 grams of protien
45 grams of fat
and that is a suggestion, it is this mix that will help your metabolism
Make sure you get your fruits and veggies in during the day.
If you join a curves by you, you can always take the class or get the book.
But the reason your not loosing weight is because your not eating what you should...
Don't forget to drink water - 8 8oz glasses per day

Your body probably thinks there is a famine, you probably aren't getting enough nutrients and energy which it needs so it may be storing as much as it can. Just eat a normal, varied diet with plenty of excerise! Don't strive to be skinny, be healthy otherwise in the long run you will be worse off.

Because you're eating too FEW calories and your metabolism has shut down and gone into starvation mode. It's better to eat 2000-2500 calories a day thru 5-7 small meals, keeping your blood sugar level and your metabolism working to burn those calories.

Because you are not eating enough. Your body is in starvation mode and is storing fat in case it never eats again. Women should never go below 1200 calories a day. Try increasing your calories and you will lose weight. Your body will sense that it's not going to starve, and will start releasing fat. I know it sounds backwards, but I've lost 31 pounds in 4 months by increasing my calories.

That is considered starving yourself...unless you are very overweight you are under eating and the reason why you aren't losing weight is because when you starve yourself your body doesn't burn calories it saves the fat for living!

When you eat less than 1200 calories a day, your body thinks its starving so it stores everything you eat into fat because it doesnt know when you are going to feed it again. You need to have a healthy balanced diet of 5 small meals a day to keep your metabolism up, and eat no less than 1200 cals a day
