No, you need protein or you'll be weak and feeble. Most vegetarians' brains shrink for some reason too. You're probably thinking "oh Katie's just being a jerk" but I will not lie to you, these facts are true!

No. Eating healthy as a teen is the more important than as an adult. As a teen, you need a balance of different foods. You NEED to eat meat if you want to grow healthy.

No, it's not good for you unless you slowly transition, or were raised that way because, if you all of the sudden go from eating meat to just eating vegetables, it can be bad for your development and you won't get the protein you need to build energy, and muscle mass.

No, you are evolved to be an omnivore; a hunter-gatherer with meat as a regular part of the diet. Imposing an unnatural diet on your body, especially at an age when it is still growing and developing, is not a wise thing!

what da? Wats a vereterian? Ya mean vegetarian?
Well, in a word, yes. Too much consumption of red meats can cause some diseases. So you are definitely on the safe side there. However, you will need protein in your diet, even more so bearing in mind that you are still growing up. Just make sure you have enough protein; you could eat beans, or consume dairy products like cheese, yogurt etc.
Vegetarian is the way to go. Keep it up hon!

Hey, well you need protein to help repair your muscles etc, which is from meat, but there are some vegetables with protein in them, if you are worried about your health, buy some Centrum, it gives you all the right vitamins etc. that you lack :) good luck

Good question, I have the same problem.
If you get iron from other places such as green vegetables and protein it is okay for your health.
But if you don't get enough iron you may get headaches and feel dizzy, especially on your period.

One of the dangers of a vegetarian diet is that you are low in b vitamins. So, don't forget to take some b-Complex supplements. You will have more energy and stay healthier in the long run. You can also get protein from legumes (beans) and other vegetables.
Click on the link below to watch a brief online movie about six McDonalds-munching Americans eat 100% vegan, organic, live, raw foods for a month in order to reverse diabetes naturally. In four days, they were off insulin and in 30 days, their diabetes was totally reversed. Medical results are fantastic. They are challenged to give up meat, dairy, sugar, alcohol, Nicotine, caffeine, soda, junk food, fast food, processed food, packaged food, and even cooked food – as well as go without their loved ones and many of their creature comforts – for 30 days.
It just goes to show you that eating a vegetarian diet can be very healthy if done right. I am not a vegetarian. I believe that meat can be part of a healthy diet if it is done the right way. I have no problem with vegetarians though as long as they take their B vitamins.

I assume you mean vegetarian, and it's a common misconception that vegetarians are 'healthier' when infact it's the whole diet itself as well as exercise that effects ur health!
vegetarians tend to compensate meat for more carbs, cheese, dairy etc
If you want to be healthy go see a nutritionist, they'll point u in the right direction
ADD: who ever said Veggies don't eat junk food is wrong, i know plenty of veggies who eat cakes, crisps, takeaways etc

do you mean vegetarian? if that's what you mean then yes its ok for your health as long as you are smart about it and make sure you still eat a balanced diet and get all the nutrition you need. go to the library and check out some books on a healthy vegetarian lifestyle and see what they recommend for a diet. just to make sure you get all your body needs. me i like meat but if that's the choice you make then just make sure you do it right. good luck

listen to my friend , eat whatever is good and healthy , and don't let this crazy world change your life . just eat healthy and go to gym and try to walk and run , enjoy your life as much as you can . shape your life the way that you want , the way that makes you happy , not the way that based on others opinion . take care :)

I'm a veggie and i'm 15. I have been for 2-3 years. I perfectly healthy apart from low iron levels but that runs in my family so i was doomed to have that anyway. just make sure you eat a blanced and varied diet and you should be fine. check with your doctor if you feel ill
