cut out most of your sugar intake, like soda, and candy. Cut out fast food, like McDonalds and Del taco. Dont eat past like 7-8pm. Drink lots of water, and walk or run around your block once a day!!

-Run outside 5 miles a day. Or use the school's track. Or join a sports team for your school, preferably cross country or track.
-Eat less food. Duh. You'll save money on that.

Change your eating habits. Don't eat fast food, junk food, or too much food. Learn to listen to when your body is full and stop eating. Eat more fruits and veggies and less fatty foods. Exercise more, even if it is just a few strolls around the block. Watch your calorie intake. All food has it labeled. If you are trying to lose weight you probably want to eat about 1500-1800 calories a day.

I know it sounds obvious, but there is no secret to losing weight. Watch what you eat and get into an exercise routine. Try finding a sport you enjoy or an activity that gets you out and moving. Cut back on sugary sodas and drinks - those are empty calories!! Keep your diet balanced and make sure to get all your needed nutrients. Also try the "2/3 Rule" which means you should stop eating when you feel almost full. This is because by the time your body is sending the message to your brain that you are full and to stop eating, you have already eaten more than you need to feel satisfied. Good luck!

Hi Dondre:
First have your parents make an appointment with your family doctor who can probably give you some guidance as to what diet and what exercise program is the best for you.
I too was overweight and I have found that exercising like swimming and walking is excellent way to lose weight. Also I looked at what I was eating and found that my diet was loaded with carbohydrates, so I started limiting them and substituting with foods that were better for me.
Cut out all fast foods, put yourself on a healthy diet of food items that you will tolerate, eat smaller portions. East some healthy snacks (again small portions) between meals. You will find the weight coming off. You want to lose about 2-3 pounds per week so that it will stay off. If you lose too much too fast, it will just come back on.
Good luck and I hope you lose all the weight you want to lose.

Ok, first, to make you feel better, I knew a 305 lb 12 year old. Start looking on the nutrition section of what you eat. Ask your parents if they will let you go to the park and walk or something. There are those walking marathons, also. Try joining football or a sport similar to that. You'll have fun and work off that extra weight.

Keep doing what you're doing. Ya know, life isn't all about looks and glamour. As long as you're happy with yourself, it doesn't matter how much you weigh. Enjoy life while you still have it.

Go on the Atkins's diet. It's tough the first two weeks, but then after wards you can have a reward meal. I lost over 100 lbs on it when it was trendy four years ago and have kept the weight off. I've reversed my diabetes, lowered my blood pressure, and got healthy! Check a book out at the library. There are several to choose from. Good luck!

Well this is what I did and it worked but it took like 2 years. But I did lose 50 lbs. Write down what you eat for the week in a journal. Keep track of how many calories you consume everyday for one week. You really don't need more than 2000 calories a day. Then after the first week take it down like 200 calories. You can eat anything but go by serving sizes. Try to eat foods that are less than 5% fat and watch your sodium intake. If you do that you will lose weight but it takes a awhile and you have to stick to it.

your battle is probubly with eating. unfortunately your used to eating a larger portion to sustain that weight and your hunger pains wont allow you to stop going to a colorie that 120 pound people eat. its a viscious cycle that most books dont cover. i suggest you start by cataloging everything you eat for a week. and jot it down in a calender with hours. dont modify the first week. just consider it a first step. (most dieters never do this). then at the end of the week change it to calories. find out what your average daily true is. and try to lower it each day by 100 less. every time it begins to be less uncomfortable subtract 100 or 50 . soon you will have your body adapted and your stomach will shrink. so assume you have a 5000 colorie a day diet. and each week you subtra ted 100. in 6 months you will have a normal2500 calorie day. of course exercise. and push your self a t least twice a week to do more . if you do what i suggest you wont see the weight come off as fast - but you will have undisputed fact in front of you that its working.(numbers dont lie). also try to watch your cholesterol level , do it for your health not just your appearance. becouse beauty and sexy are two different things. and sexy isnt all that important- but beauty is. and beauty lies in love which i hope your friends give you.

Take a 20-30 minute walk everyday. Walk as fast as you comfortably can. When that amount of time is really easy for you try increasing it or jog instead of walk. Also watch what you eat. If you are consistent you will lose weight.
