got the same problem. but i heard about those guys that do those stupid hot dog eating contests and i found out that they eat ALOT of food the night before cause it stretches out their stomach. and i also found out that thats why fat people are always hungry, cause their stomachs are stretched out. so if you eat more you will eat more. just ******* force feed yourself for like one meal and then youl have a slitely better appetite. i dont mean like go eat a zebra, just until you get really really full.

Most people would love to have your problem.
Many people do not realize that for some people it is harder to gain weight.
Try drinking some Boost with extra calories.
Try a Protein powder that you can add to a drink or make a shake with.
You can continue to workout because it is good for your health. Make sure that you only do low impact aerobic exercise. Too much aerobic exercise burns off too many calories and you do not want that. You can do Yoga or Pilate to help keep you toned.
Good Luck!!!

U dont have to eat large meals to gain weight. Eat many small meals throughout the day. Eat lots of carbs (pasta, breads, peanutbutter sandwichs etc.). U can also look at taking a weight gainer shake before bed. Theyre good for u, and packed full of carbs, although, I dont recommend quitting ur workout becuz the weight gainer will pack the pounds fairly fast (I gained 10lbs in less than 2 wks), and it will accumulate around the belly as fat...if u workout, u will convert the fat to muscle (which weighs more, and looks better). If u dont want to drink weight gainer shakes, still continue to workout, just cut down on the cardio. Email me if u want some diet and exercise ideas.

You do not have any disorders, you have a high metabolism. I am also a light weight. I can eat every spec of food on earth and not gain an ounce. Be proud to be skinny, many would give their eye tooth to be in our shoes.

Being skinny really is a good thing, but the fact that you're concerned for your weight and want to get fatter shows that maybe you are a bit too skinny.
I wouldn't reccomend taking healthy habits such as exercising out of your routine, but instead I would focus on trying to increase your appetite and put more fats into your diet.
Being a picky eater is a problem that can be solved by trying the foods you detest at least twenty one times. It gets a little bit easier each time, and if you work at you may eventually enjoy all types of cuisine and foods.
Potatoes, whole grains, flour, popcorn...just start to snack a little more and eventually your appetite will grow larger. Good luck and i really hope you don't stop exercising!

The one thing that bugs me the most is when people say eat, its just not that simple when you have a hight metabolism or your family is just genetically this way. I am 5'6'' and 116 and i can't gain weight for anything. i am a picky eater too. people think it is so great to be skinny but it really isn't. for one you should probably stop working out...i've asked this same question to many people and have tried countless things. im 17 and young and this isn't going to be me forever so i just live with it now and in your later years the weight will come on.

First off all. I hope to God that you don't get it into your head that you have any form of eating disorder or think you need to try all these weird diets were all you eat is bannanas or something. Because that's not what you need to do. I suggest you keep working out but do it lightly so you don't get overly body builder buff. Only once a week should do it, maybe two and make sure you pace yourself and are well hydrated. To gain weight I advise that you start eating red meats and carbohydrates but keep it on a minimum with your already diet. Eat good foods like fruits and veggies and you can even add a dietary supplement if you want for vitemins or whatever. Don't take any diet pills at all!!! Try to eat a well balanced diet and make sure that you are porportioning things properly. Don't go off and eat a bunch of junk food or fast food, you'll kill your system trust me. Splurge a couple of times a month if you want but don't over indulge. Just make sure that your eating the proper amount of food per day and get some lipids(fats) in there to, to gain weight. But if your working out you'll just burn it all off so you'll stay skinny. If you have a high metabolism then that's a problem as well which means you need to eat more than normal lipids and excersise a little less so you can gain the weight you need. I hope this helps a little, just follow the food pyramid and you'll be fine.

Eating more red meat will encourage your body to gain muscle mass to increase your weight in a healthy fashion. Overal, get more protein in your diet, and since your appetite is small replace some foods you eat now with higher protein foods, that way you dont have to eat More, just different.

I'm super-skinny too, and I eat all the time. there's this thing called weight-gainers, which is just like weight-watchers. they give you shakes that make you gain weight. this might not be for you, though, so I'd talk to a doctor and find out if there is a weight-gainers program where you are.

the work out is part of it...you obviously have a high metabolism combined with a low caloric intake. You are going to have to take in more calories than you burn which means more carbs when you do eat, eating more often and cutting out the excercise.

Well thats the problem...You have to remember that to gain weight, you have to eat more than you burn...And to loose weight, you have to burn more than you eat.....Don't be stuffing yourself with alot of junk food but include quality nutrious food....Start by increasing the quantity of food you eat every 2-3 hours or so....When you don't have enough food in your body, your body will burn your muscles for energy..Thats why its good to eat small meals every 2-3 hours throughout the day....
