there is no easy way, thats why so many people are overweight. you're 15, so am i. im guessing you're in high school, and if your school offers as many sports as mine, you shouldnt have a problem getting into one. just dedicate yourself to it, and not only will you lose weight, you'll also meet people and make friends. also try cutting back on some fattier foods, but go progressively. if you try too much at once, you'll be less likely to stick with it.

If weight loss is what you're looking for then here's what you need. The best combination for weight loss is calorie restriction, resistance training, and aerobic work. Let's start with calorie restriction. Over the years I have had personal training clients as well as athletes come to me wondering why they are not losing weight. They tell me they eat right, exercise right, say their prayers, eat their vitamins, etc., and they just can't seem to lose weight. Well, most of the time, once I really get to know them, I find that nutrition is the culprit. You need to know what you're eating. Most of the people I'm talking about all thought they did.

How do you change this? Well, it may sound tough, but it's not that bad. You need to keep track of what you eat for 2 days over the week, and 1 day over the weekend. Next, go to you're local book store. You can find charts, books, and computer programs that will help you analyze the foods you ate. Another suggestion would be to take your dietary recall to a nutritionist or exercise physiologist at your local college and let them find it for you.

These recalls will tell you how many calories you're getting plus where they are coming from. For example, are they coming from protein, carbohydrate, or fat. It will help you see where you stand nutritionally.

Next, you need to get on a good strength program. When a person is losing weight, the weight comes from fat, as well as muscle. That's kind of an unfortunate thing because muscle is an important thing when keeping metabolism high. There is enough research out there to safely say that when going through a phase of high intensity aerobic work and calorie restriction, strength training decreases muscle wasting. So, in short, strength-train. It's important. I wouldn't strength-train for anymore that 20 to 30 minutes. You can get what you need in a short period of time.

After the strength training, it's time to get on the bike, treadmill, stepper, track, whatever. Keep your workouts to 30 minutes and up in order to burn the calories. Train between 3 to 5 times per week. Keep your heart rate at 60 to 90% of heart rate max.

Don't look at losing weight as some mysterious monster that you can't get the reins on. Look at it as nothing more than stored energy. That's what fat is?stored energy. If you had a tank full of energy and it kept filling up higher and higher, what would you do to keep your tank from growing too large from the excess energy? Well, burn some of the energy off. That's what you need to do to lose weight. Keep the "energy in" lower than the "energy out" and abracadabra, you're losing weight.

Note: You need to change your routine every 2-3 weeks in order to get the best results.

Lots of exercise, cut the carbs on your diet, lots of veggies and fruits and tons of water.

Loosing weight isn't that easy. You cant east a lot of foods that you love to eat, and excercise will be your best friend. Talk to your doctor.

there's alot of good info listed here.
Eat Healthy whole foods (vegetables, fruits, lean protein)
exercise 30 minutes minimum everyday (walking, play basket ball - something you would enjoy and not seem like a job.)
Drink 8 cups of water daily, no soda, so sugar, no processed foods.

I'm in your same shoes but I'm not 15 I'm a bit older than you. What i do and seems to be working is go to the gym for at least 45 minutes for 3-4 days a week. do the elliptical machine to start you up and then walk or run or even do weights. but the most important thing is limit yourself to things with sugar especially soft drinks.

crystal_dm79
look into weight watchers. my doc recommended it to me after his wife lost 60lbs on it. i have about 50 to lose. my sister and i have each lost 8lb so far and have been doing it only 4 weeks now. it's simple and i hate dieting. check with your parents, since you are underage you would have to have a doctor's note too. dont lose it fast. i did that when i was your age on a crash diet and gained it all back plus about 20lbs once i went back to normal eating. good luck sweetie!

You will never do it if you want it to be 'easy'. counting calories and exercise work, as do all the major plans like Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers...and they are all a project you need to be dedicated to. Anything claiming to be 'easy' is a lie and a gimmick to get your money. If you are not willing to make a commitment to work hard, forget it and stay chubby. Maybe you will change your mind when you are older and it starts to affect your health, but then it will be even harder because your metabolism slows with age. So, right now is the easiest it ever will be, and that ain't very easy. You may as well face it and get to work.

its a gradual process, eating salads with cheese and fatty additions could start you on the right track and alot of water to fill the starvation feeling, eat gram crackers instead of cookies popcorn, just pay attention to the calories, sugar is the main killer in foods and meat, it takes 72 hours to digest meat

Eat healthier foods, and start an exercise plan. Go for walks every day. Do at least a mile. Start at like 1/4, then 1/2 and so on. If there is a community center near you they sometimes run aerobics classes.

Walk more and try Target diet chocolate shakes - it helped me lose about 20 pounds. Just increase the walking over time.

Nope. You just have to work it, honey. It's gonna take lots of vegetables and lots of exercise, especially running.

Exercise. If you think of calories as a "fuel source" (which is what they are), you'll get a better idea of how to control, or at least pay attention to, what you take in.

Thik about a car and how it uses gas everytime it's driven. If the car is parked in the driveway it doesn't need to be refilled with gas because none was used.
If you sit on the couch (or at the computer!) you don't need very many calories, because you're not exerting yourself.

Exercising does a few things to help you lose weight:
1. increases metabolism, so the calories you take in are used faster and more efficiently
2. decreases hunger
3. gives you more energy
4. you'll want to eat healthier, to not "undo" all the work from exercising.

Good luck!

first of all, there is NO EASY WAY... no matter what diet pill says so. You are only 15 you should not be worrying about this. But, if you are, just change the way you live your life a little bit. Take the stairs, stop drinking sodas, instead of playing video games or watching tv, get outside, take your dog for a walk, join sports.. the small things you do know will make a difference later. I am sure you are pretty.. there is NO REASON to think because you are not the "ideal" woman you are not pretty. Just remember, you are who you are, and you have the choice to get up and get active, and you are 15, enjoy your life, and believe in yourself... believe you are pretty! And that a SIZE or the scale doesn't determine whether yuo are pretty or not!

Titania
Drink a lot of water and do about 45 minutes of excercise each day. Exercise doesn't have to be being bored on the treadmill! Get a soccer ball and some friends and play outside. Or walk a dog. Perhaps spend some time playing tag with a smaller sibling. They have tons of energy to have fun with. :]

i must warn you, there is no easy way to lose weight. it takes time and dedication. i recommend healthy, one serving meals. 45 minutes of cardio 4-5 times a week, and running. weight training wouldn't hurt either. GOOD LUCK!!

OK do this but you have to take it serious when your thirsty drink water and when u wanna eat a snack eat a fruit try not to eat a lot of carbs like bread, and water n eat healthy eat more greens and when you eat try not to repeat by eating more. And exercise so you can sweat run on the treadmill buy a sweatsuit if you need to

BaFfler
Walk, don't swim. Exercise more than 30 minutes, the fat-burning begins after the first thirty minutes.

Exercise is better than diet, but cut out fructose, ice cream and fried foods.

Let me ask you - do you drink soda? You can NEVER eat sweets, including soda. Drop the sweets, eat vegetables instead of junk, and you will drop the weight. To do even better, walk a mile every, every, every day.
