hmmm i would say it's a little underweight....but that's not bad....i'm 13.5 years old and am 5'1'' and only way 95 lbs which is kinda underweight too....its normal to be 95-98 lbs when ur 12 and a half......but since u are tall for ur age u might want to gain about 5 more pounds....but don't worry about it...doctors say i'm underweight and i eat so much food and i think i look fine....so technically u r underweight but don't worry about it....check ur BMI (body mass index) if you want to know....go to http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ and punch in ur weight and height...ur BMI is a 17.4 and underweight is an 18 or under....so don't worry u are only a little underweight =]] good luck

You're underweight for your age.
But your height and all is pretty good for your age :).
& don't worry, by eating you won't get fat, it's all gonna grow out in your height.

I feel for you on this one. I was your age when I started to notice myself as a little thin like you. For many years I was called the "bird" or "stick" but I never once looked at myself as anything more than a child who just wasn't performing any faster then the other girls around me. To tell you I was your height but I am 37 now and only 5'6. I am now 124lbs and maintain it well. When I was your age, my normal weight at that time was supposed to be around 100. I was only 89 lbs until I reached age 18. I was a very active child, I did a lot. At that time my parents thought I had an overactive Thyroid that would prevent me from gaining. Those tests came back normal it was just I have a higher motabolism then others, where the food I eat, the calories burn off faster. I had to watch how much fat intake I had and learn to eat healthy. I don't quite know your activity level but trust me, you dont need to gouge to get the pounds on, it will come gradually, give it time. Also, when a women is going through puberty, unlike boys we produce something called estrogen to keep our bodies up to performance. Many a times a woman can still be growing until at least the age of 19 and beyond. Remember your body shrinks from the amount of dairy you have too in your diet. Your body fluctuates as well from fatty acids that are digested on a regular too. If a person eats say too much bread, it can go right to the belly or the hips. So generally speaking, your weight can fluctuate depending on what you eat. Also, in this time period too when you have your monthly as well the woman can feel an extra pound or two from water gain but this is all normal. So please darling don't worry on this. If you really want to be sure you have no underlying health problems, seek advice from a doctor. Let nature take its course, you were meant to develope. By the way honey don't think you need to go impressing the boys to get added attention to yourself. Your main concern right now is school, studying hard to make a success of yourself further in life. I hope my advice helps you quite a bit. Later!

You are underweight. The correct weight range for your height is 115-130. Especially since you are so young, you probably should try to gain a bit. Even if you've reached your full height, your body has years of growing to do inside, and you need fuel and good nutrition to do that. Make sure you include 4 servings of dairy products and a good multi-vitamin Daily to avoid problems later on.

First of all: YOU ARE 12 YEARS OLD YOU SHOULD NOT BE WORRYING ABOUT YOUR APPEARANCE!!! Worry about school and what college you want to get in to and what you want to be you you grow up! Don't be victim to the sterotypes on television. They are struggling with their health because they are listening to what everyone is saying is "normal". It is not normal to eat and then throw up! Worry about being healthy, not skinny. If you eat right, the rest should fall into place.
Please, do not be a victim to peer and society pressures, it is better to live a long health life, then to die of anorexia or bulemia at 16.
I eat well, and I am 21, 5'6" and 101lbs. I don't worry about may size. If you mom is small or your dad is small, than it's just genetics, like my mom and I.
Please, worry about your education and how to live a long healthy life. Don't fall prey to how corporations tell you to be. BE YOURSELF!

I'd say your doing great. And your right these eating habits are going to be instilled in you for life. So don't worry about people out their being negative. They are the ones who are going to look at you when you 40 and say "wow! she looks great, I wonder how she's does it, I wish I looked like that." And you can just sit back and smile because you know you have lived a HEALTHY life full of smart choices, starting from a young age (and I must say you sound quite mature for your age).
And whoever said you should weigh 120-125 is crazy and must be a little on the chunky side themselves to think that is a good weight. While yes true it may be considered a healthy weight it somebodies eyes, with your height it would be chunky. I personally am 5'6" and weigh 125 which puts me in a size five, at your height if you were that weight it would put you in a 9+!
Also, just a good bit of knowledge.... With height consider every each worth 10 pounds, when comparing heights with someone else. So if your 5'3" and weigh 95 pounds and you have a friend who is 5'4" for the two of you to be about the same size and appear the same size your friend would need to weight appx. 10 pounds more then you.

You're doing ok for yourself. Around your age, I was 5'1 and 90 pounds. Many people said I was short and skinny, but the next year, I grew 6 inches in height, and my body filled out shortly after. When I was 15, I was about 5'6 and 125.
I started lifting weights in college, so now I'm about 5'8 and 150. Don't let anybody tell you you're not normal. You could gain some weight for more confidence, but you are still growing, so don't worry about it.

If you were 5'3 and you weighed anything under 97 pounds. then you'd be under weight. If you were 5'4 and you weighed anything under 109 pounds you'd be underweight. However if you were 5'3 and weighed 140 pound and up you'd be overweight and if you were 5'4 and weighed 150 pounds or more you'd be overweight. Good luck! :-)

You don't know? VERY underweight. Way too thin. You should weigh 120-125 lbs. Doesn't matter how old you are, it's based on your height.

i think your fine. most definitely not overweight. and since your only 12 you probably still have more time to grow into your body so dont try to gain any weight. i was probably around 110-120 and 5'3 when i was that age, but i have a lot of muscle. you are fine dont worry about it.

At age 12, your body is still growing!! Don't worry about being too fat. You are very skinny and you need to allow yourself the ability to gain weight. As you grow taller, your body needs that fuel to allow for more height.

Anyone (not just twelve-year-olds) between 5'3" and 5'4" should be anywhere between 100-115 pounds. You could gain a little weight, if anything.

Your height and weight at a certain age can help determine if you're generally average, but to be healthy you really just need to exercise.
Eat like a normal 12 year old and go outside and play often. Don't spend all day playing video games and you'll be healthy irregardless of what you weigh.

First off, you're 12. Not 12.5, there is no such thing as 12 and a half.
And second, shouldn't you be worrying about American Idol and not about your physique?
