Well, the way I lost weight was by eating less.
For example, just eat smaller portions.
Like if you eat 3 pizzas, for now on eat only 2 or 1. See, you don't have to starve.
And another trick I used was to eat from smaller plates. If the plate is smaller, then you have no way of eating too much or filling the whole plate with extra food.
Plus, drink lots of water and cut the amount of soda you drink and junk food.
And after a while, you'll get full faster because your stomach will be used to eating less.

I know, losing weight is difficult. I was down to 200 cal. a day hoping something would happen. All that happened was me shaking and getting close to passing out. My body kept all my weight, as well. If you try to cut back too much, your body stops giving the weight off. Your body will get scared of starvation and hold your weight in. The best thing to do is portion your meals everyday to a healthy rate for your body, and exercise...I know, it's the same thing everyone says...I get tired of it too...I tried eating less without the exercise, but it turns out that to lose the weight you HAVE to exercise or you'll end up killing your body. I know this does not make any sense , but if you eat just 500 calories a day.. you will GAIN weight cause the 500 calories a day that you are taking in, your body will STORE it and it will become fat..... i eat 1200 calories a day and in 3 weeks i have lost 5 pounds... tha is a HEALTHY way to lose weight

i've been through this so many times.
you will lose weight, but eventually your body will get so starved from being deprived that you will go on a binge. you WILL gain it all back. and fast, because that messes up your metabolism.
eat atleast 1200. and workout. don't starve yourself b/c it never works and you gain back all the weight AND MORE

You'd probably lose a good amount but the minute you start eating right again you'd gain it all back if not double it.
You're never supposed to eat less than 1200 calories a day.

Losing weight is not a quick fix. Your body needs a good 1500 calories a day at least, and it is the type of calories you put into your system. You need a balanced diet that has more fruit and vegetables than anything else. Cut back on red meat, and sugary foods, but don't feel like you have to completely eliminate them. You ought to treat yourself occasionally, and you need the protein red meat has to offer. Combine this with regular exercise and you're in good shape...literally...and remember, everything in moderation, but if you're going to go crazy, eat lots of fruits and vegetables.

Either too much or none. Your metabolism may get messed up in the process and you not lose any weight. The way to lose weight is diet and exercise and eating less than 500 calories a day is not going to cut it.

that's waywayway too low, just to let you know. You're supposed to eat 2,000 a day, less if you want to loose weight, but that is dangerously low. It's very bad for your health, and you'll most likely pass out or something

Restricting your calories this much isn't some sort of diet. It can lead to an eating disorder. Trust me, an eating disorder is not a glamorous thing to have.
If you already have one, please get help. I know that getting help can be hard, but getting help is better than dropping dead...

Your body will go into "starvation mode" and youll gain back anything you lose. You'll also get sick, dizzy and tired.
You have to give something to get something in this world....and the fastest way to lose weight is to exercise
I guarantee that you will be very dissatisfied with your results if you try to lose weight this way.

what's gong to happen is your body is going to take whatever calories you take in and turn them into fat storage (aka starvation mode) and after the 3 weeks, you're going to gain back whatever weight you lost.
just suck it up and eat HEALTHY (it's not about calories, it's about PROPORTIONS) and do the exercise, it'll make you feel great about yourself rather than feeling guilty when you have to eat those 500 calories.

about 20lbs, if if you eat 1200 cal a day it would be better for your health and you will lose 20lbs if you exercise with 1200 cal you can eat vegs, fruits or yogurt, don't just stop eating because you want to lose weight. eat healthy and exercise and you lose the weight

Oooh this is a very very bad plan. You will lose a lot of your lean muscle and water weight and you will set up your metabolism to yoyo you back to an even greater weight gain. I strongly advise against this. Reduce only by a few hundred calories, make your food as nutritiously dense as possible and burn the stored fat with increased exercise.

I'm not sure about 500- but I have been doing 900 calories a day and walking 2 miles and I have lost 6 pounds in a week! I'm trying to fit into a dress by Dec. 15.
Just make sure that you eat a good variety of food that will keep you healthy. Eat lots of veggies and fruits as most of them are low in calories so you can eat a lot. Also make sure you eat some type of lean protein such as dairy, meat, or beans.
