You are suppose to eat about 5 or so times a day. 6 am then 9am then 12pm then 3pm then 6pm. I heard for a trainer that you should eat every 3 hours even if your not hungry. The trainer said that your stomach is not suppose to tell you when to eat, the clock is. Also eat the most carb food between 6 am and 9am. Your metabolizm is the fastest then.

You might feel hungry, but think about something that will make you stop feeling hungry or take away your appetite. You know what I'm takling about; those instances where you look around and realize your appetite just exited the building....
Also, there's always willpower. I do binge, I'll confess, but for almost a year and a half I haven't eaten ANY chocolate AT ALL. I used to love chocolate; now the thought makes me sick. I just thought to myself, "I'm not eating any more chocolate," and basically 'quit cold turkey'.
Also, try to eat really filling things with lots of fiber, like APPLES! Also make sure you're eating a balanced diet; you'll be less likely to be hungry and you'll be doing good for your body.

I have the exact same problem (especially w/ chocolate!!!) Anyways, I have a couple methods that seem to work. I know it sounds retarded, but when I'm tempted by food, I think about the guy (or in your case a girl) I like and then think of what I'll look like if I eat it! It works for me. Or just go look in the mirror and give yourself a pep talk. If all else fails- brush your teeth- I don't know what it is, but nothing tastes as good after brushing your teeth! Good luck!

It's psychological. Maybe you have a food addiction and to justify eating your mind tells you that your body is hungry. You should probably get help.

When you see food just try to think about something else. Something that you like more than food. Try not to think about food. You may drink water, because water has no fats. It helps me alot.
I wish I could help you, but this is the only method I know. Diet is a horrible thing. Its very hard. People who do not go on a diet think its easy. Almost forgot. The key to lose weight is not to eat after 6pm. Before 6pm you can eat whatever you want (except bread, candy and soda), but you have to work out every day. I am sure you will lose weight if you follow my method.

its all in the mind.mind matters.if you are obese you can go on diet but again you should not really starve yourself.that"ll indeed have the opposite effect.buddy,i would rather suggest you to concentrate more on cardios than weight training if u r obese.go for weekend swimming too.finally,for your voracious-appetite mentality i would suggest you buy anthony robbins book or a course in dvd on how you can abstain yourself from gormandizing.

Get a lot of sleep at night, and drink a lot of water. When you don't get enough sleep, it tells your body that you don't have a lot of energy, so then it thinks that it can get more energy through food. Drinking water can also help because sometimes your body tells you that your hungry when really you could just be a little hydrated.
If you excersise a lot, you should get at least 2000-3000 calories a day, so maybe you're just plain not eating enough. If you don't get enough carbohydrates or fiber, you're definetly going to feel hungry a lot. Eating breakfast helps a lot too.

I always try to ignore the food in front of me and concentrate on the people and things around me. If I'm talking or doing something active, I can't eat. If that doesn't work or you have nothing to do, try telling yourself that it isn't worth it. Eating that candy bar will only make you happy for the 30 seconds it takes you to swallow it and you'll be guilty and feel horrible the rest of the day or you could look around and find someone you want to be as skinny as, if you eat, you'll never look like that.

Don't flip out. You don't have to stay away from healthy food all the time. In the morning try egg whites on wheat toast with bacon. It's heathly and delicious. Fruit and vegatbles are good to. Try to stick to grapes and bananas but don't eat to many cause that will just make you sick.
If you are really that food addicted tell a doctor and ask him was you could do for you. It's only a call away.
Hope that helps a bit. But of course don't over exercise!

Just take the time to think about it, if you eat whatever it is you are looking at, will it really make you feel good when its over with or are you going to have regret... just think about the outcome... are you even hungry, think about that, do really need it or do you just want to gorge down on it cause of its delicious taste...

instead of eating try to always carry chewing gum with u along and drink lots of water during the day juices would be good to fill u up and with healthy nutrients.. you can eat as much as u would like to just always remember that as much as u ate or will eat u gotta train :)

It is hard and takes time mixed with self control. It is harder when people offer you food. Have little food in your house. This will eliminate snacking.

Think of the main reason you want the pounds off-is it for your health? is it because you want to impress a certain someone? whatever it is think of that reason when you look at food. then decide if that cake, cookie, or whatever it is that you will literally finish in FIVE minutes is really worth it in the long run.

Think of your food as a fuel not a hobby, dont try to eat less try to eat correctly, like having breakfast, snack on fruit etc eat regular well proportioned meals and carry a pic of u at your worst for motivation, it will become 2nd nature soon enough not to munch all the time, and drink plenty of water, sometimes we think we are hungry when really we just need a drink, good luck :)

Try keepint low or no calorie food with you, like carrot sticks, or Celery, or something like that to help you feel full without gaining weight. You also need to work on your self control, seriously, some of it is just about maturity.

just know it is not forever......... once you get to the weight you want you will be able to eat what you want!!! so just keep in mind that you will lose weight and then you can eat what you want reach your goal first....... then you can reap your rewards!!!
