I used Trimspa to decrease my appetite only for a few months. Ive been off a few months now and dont need it anymore. Its a short commitment.
What I ate:
fries ONLY in the oven with ONLY cooking spray for everything. butter, mayo, ect all fat free. veggie subs at subway with sweet Onion sauce(no fat). veggie meats are yummy(not the boca brand) and have no fat,no cholesterol and packed with vitamins. No cheese until I got to my ideal weight(im 111 now) Started at 130 in April. Water only. Excerice increases metabolism,so the more you work out the faster it goes. At Taco bell order "fresco" thats salsa and no cheese and fatty sauces. Egg whites only.
Protein keeps you full longer,is healthier than carbs. So,chips fill you up quick but youll be hungry sooner.
Tip: Actually portion out your meals. Itll seem like a jip at first but youll quickly get used to it. So if it says 9 tator tots, count them out.

Eat less, exercise more, get the right amount of rest. Stay away from sodas, energy drinks, etc. They have lots of unneeded calories. Drink water (try to work up to at least 2 quarts a day). Much snacking is caused by boredom, so stay engaged in something. If you must snack, eat healthy things like Celery, carrot sticks, jicama, turnips. Stay off the scale! Water weight and fluctuations will drive you insane. Check your weight at a set time once or twice a week at most. For motivation, you have to look at yourself. Youy may want to be healthier, or fit into a specific pair of jeans, or impress a certain someone. Find some new clothes that you want to fit into that you could buy yourself as a reward. Make your goals acheivable and reasonable, within a set period of time. If you want to lose 20 lbs, don't expect to lose it in a week or two. Also, if you have a buddy, it always seems easier. Together you can help plan each other's menus and have a support system to keep you from straying. Also, you have someone to talk to while you exercise. Good luck.

I found a great way to lose weight fast and keep it off. I do body cleansing. I lost 13 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. Cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives etc. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To shrink the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. To learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. Cleansing was good for me. Good luck whatever you decide to do!

I believe the word you mean is "lose." People "lose" weight. You have "loose" change in your pocket.
Don't eat any carbs. None. Cut all carbs out and eat animal products. Watch the weight (body fat) melt off. It's protein sparing. Try it.

First, in order to lose weight, you have to burn up more calories than you consume. Healthy snacks could be fruit, carrot/Celery sticks, popcorn, rice cakes, etc. They actually make some snacks in 100 calorie packs now. For temptations, keep hard candy like lifesavers around to ease the sweet cravings. You can also try brushing your teeth to get that "fresh" mouth feeling that you don't want to mess up. Also, try those Listerine strips in your mouth--they work pretty good. Motivation comes when you see the pounds dropping. Drink a lot of water too and eat high fiber foods to feel full. I don't know if there are a lot of "fun" exercises, but walking in the park with my earphones tuned to my favorite music isn't too bad. Shopping is a fun way to get off the couch, but kind of expensive. Have Fun!

The answer is simple, but anything worth doing requires work. Eat less calories than you burn. Simple as that. Now, to know what you burn you need to know your resting metabolic rate (you can find out how in the net). Then, factor in what you'll burn during exercise, eat less and you'll lose weight. Of course, healthy foods are better, but as long as you eat less than you burn and have some exercise and you will lose weight. It's worked for me, so I hope it helps.

I have done weight watchers for the past year...I have lost about 20 lbs and have been able to keep it off....I haven't actually joined, I just got the books and count my points....its much simpler than I thought it would be. Eat veggies/fruits....cut back on carbs....drink lots of water....eat out less often and find a partner to exercise with...someone that will hold you accountable for getting off the couch...
Good Luck

You have to stop eating snacks or by bad
foods I imagine you mean fast food, STOP!
I'm not saying become a health nut or even
a vegatarian, simply eat the foods you know
are good for you. You know what is good.
If you must dine out then do it at a real
restraunt with real menus.
You must exercise. See your doc first though
to make sure you have no health issues. I
suggest listening to your music while exercising.
You have to use at least two methods, cardio
and at least light weights. The best cardio that
is least invasive is the elliptical machine. If you
don't have access to one swim. If not that try a
rowing machine.
As for weights. You must use them to develope
muscle tone not become a bodybuilder just
simple muscle definition. Use light weights with
high rep sets. What I mean is a set of 10-15 reps
with a weight that you just begin to strain at rep 12
or 13. Talk to someone about which exercises to do.
Look I know it sounds complicated but the more
you see results from whatever you decide to do
the better you'll feel emotionally and physically
thus the more you'll be motivated.

I usually eat poorly but I loose weight from daily walks. I can skip meals and stop eating myself. But many people say I shouldn't do that.
I have good control over willpower against donuts though.
I try not to think of donuts most of the time. My walks are usually about 2 miles long on the beach.

It seems that everybody wants to lose weight. But when most people say they want to lose weight, what they really mean is they want to lose weight without altering their current lifestyle. They want to lose weight without changing the foods that they eat, or without getting up off the couch, turning off the television, and engaging in regular physical exercise. Not surprisingly, there is a huge market that offers shortcuts to weight loss through cosmetic surgery, diet pills, nutritional supplements, and various diets -- such as the Atkins Diet.
There's a growing group of people who leap from one weight loss fad to another, in search of the one thing that's going to finally help them lose weight without having to alter the foods they eat. People don't want to give up their soft drinks; they don't want to give up pizza, and ice cream, and fast food. And they sure don't have time to go out and exercise on a regular basis. So the shortcuts market is absolutely astounding -- $9.4 billion was spent last year on cosmetic surgery alone, and hundreds of millions more were spent on weight loss pills, fat burning nutritional supplements, and low-carb foods. It's a tremendous market, and the public seems to be more than willing to keep spending money on these items, even though the real answers are to be found in something entirely different.
The reality of weight loss is that there are no shortcuts! You can have cosmetic surgery to remove fat from your thighs, or the back of your arms, but if you continue eating the way you've been eating, your body will just deposit the fat somewhere else on your body -- usually in a place that looks even stranger than when it was on your hips. Even if the cosmetic surgery works out for you, it doesn't alter your blood chemistry, your cardiovascular health, or your level of physical fitness. Meaning that you are just as unhealthy after the surgery as you were before, even though you may physically show less body fat. Something similar is true with foods as well. Many people continue to eat a diet high in refined carbohydrates, added sugars, and obesity-promoting ingredients, such as high-fructose corn syrup. Then in an attempt to lose weight, they will take a couple of weight loss pills each day, and hope that those pills will some how counteract the entire day of eating unhealthy, obesity-promoting foods. It just doesn't work this way.
If you really want to lose weight, you've got to do two things. First you have to avoid foods that promote obesity and weight-gain. These are the foods that are consumed by the vast majority of Americans, and are the ones that are the most popular in grocery stores and restaurants. Any food that's processed or manufactured is very likely to promote obesity, or some other chronic disease. Foods made with refined white flour or refined sugar, for example, will undoubtedly alter your blood sugar levels and tell your body to start storing fat. Foods high in saturated animal fats, such as red meat, or foods that are high in hydrogenated oils, like margarine or shortening, will also pack on the body fat, and harm your cardio-vascular health at the same time. Achieving a healthy body weight absolutely requires taking these foods out of your diet for the rest of your life. You can have either soft drinks and processed foods, or a healthy body weight -- but not both. In fact, much of the foods available today in the national food supply are simply incompatible with a healthy body weight, no matter how much surgery you undergo, and no matter how many weight loss supplements you attempt to take.
The other part of the equation here is physical exercise. The human body simply won't shed excess body fat without engaging in regular physical exercise. Physical exercise gives you a much higher metabolism; it helps you burn calories, even while you're sitting or sleeping. It also increases your lean body mass -- especially when you engage in strength training -- and that results in even more calories being burned when you are at rest. Physical exercise, in fact, modifies your body chemistry in a way that helps your body better use refined foods such as breads or pasta. When you eat those foods without engaging in physical exercise, you're automatically going to add weight. But when you have an extremely fit body that engages in regular exercise, such as jogging, swimming, walking, or biking, you can get away with eating a few processed foods. But still you have to limit your intake of processed foods if you want to maintain a healthy body weight.
In my own case, I engage in rather vigorous physical exercise several times per week, typically putting in 10 hours of exercise each week. And even then, I don't allow myself to eat any breads or pasta or refined carbohydrates of any kind. I don't consume breakfast cereals; I don't drink fruit-drinks or consume soft drinks. And what I've found is that if I eat a piece of bread or have a sandwich, then those refined carbohydrates alter my blood sugar in a way that makes me extremely hungry three or four hours later. If I had eaten a high protein meal, or a meal high in healthy fats and fibers, I wouldn't be hungry so quickly. So it is these processed foods that are in fact causing the obesity in the first place. And consuming diet pills or weight loss supplements simply isn't the answer to long-term weight loss. The answer is to look at your lifestyle, examine what you're doing wrong that needs to be corrected, and then have the courage to make the changes that will bring you into a healthy body weight and keep you there for life.

Not eating doesnt work. Your best bet is eating small portions throughout the day to keep your system burning. I created my own diet of sorts: pretzels, soup, burritos and fajitas (healthy ones!)...if I HAD to have junkfood rice crispy treats and cereal worked pretty well....I stayed away from atkins and fad stuff. Good luck!

If you want to lose weight, you can't snack at all. The only 'snacks' you can have are fruits. I'd force myself to run or walk long distances while listening to music from a Mp3. Then when I do encounter food with high fat content, I'd start thinking to myself, 'If I were to eat that piece of fried chicken, I'd have to walk another 10km! Is that worth it?'

Do it the old fashion way, eat plenty of veggies and fruits, some meats for the day and get your milk products in. Excersise is the key as well, you don't have to go crazy. Also eat smaller portions. Stay away from junk food and pop. Pop has to be one of the worst things for you, if u have to drink pop go for the Diet Pepsi or diet coke, that would be a better pop choice then regular.
