i think what you are talking about is toning your muscles. which yoga is really good for that or any strength training. |

only getting taller would help. there is no way to get thinner without losing weight. you can wear certain clothes to hide the bigger areas and to flaunt the thinner areas. |

Work out.. You won't lose weight.. You might gain some though.. Because when you work-out your fat turns into muscle, and muscle ways more than fat.. |

Yoga and Pilates are great for that!!! Because they are not cardio workouts it's hard to loose weight just doing then alone. But they are perfect for getting leaner and more toned. Start with yoga to get the feel (if you havent before) but then move into pilates. |

If you work out, you will gain muscle, which makes the body look smaller and you will not have lost any weight. Doing cardio and muscle training will help you tone/get thinner. |

muscle weighs more than fat, so less muscle will weigh the same as more fat, so trim down the fat, add muscle, thats why someone who is 6'0'' 200 lbs of fat can look chubby, but someone 6'0'' 200lbs of muscle is smaller but obviously more defined |

Don't smoke, eat all vegetables and fruits, it will make you taller! Also, dont let your bookbag hang on one side, amke the sides even or carry all your books. |

This can happen--it did to me. I lost volume for a month, and then the lbs. started coming off. I remember being very thirsty and drinking lots of water, but then I had gone to acupuncture and was trying to eat exactly 1/3 food off of my plate. |

I don't think you can because losing weight is what makes you thinner. =) |

working out will tone your body. like lifting weights or doing situps and pushupsbut keep eating the way you are or even eat more. but it will tone up area's and turn the fat into toned muscle! make sure when your doing weights you use little amts like 10 or 15 but do a lot of reps that way you won't be like body builderish just toned |

Thinner... as in, less fat on your body, or as in, less bulk? Less fat = build muscle as you diet slightly... lose a little fat, gain a little muscle, stay about the same weight but your body is a bit leaner. Less bulk = don't do any kind of exercise with weights. If you're really obsessed, just sit around and do as little as possible so that your muscles really atrophy. You'll be weak, but tiny. |

Get thinner without losing weight? I don't think that it's possible. But if you're trying to slim down, here are a few tips: -Don't skip meals, Just eat less per meal. -Don't go with any "magical weight loss programs" -Stay with it. It's not easy, but it's doable |

is that even possible? sorry i don't think so. |

Theoretically it is possible you would have to gain muscle but at the same time burn fat. You can do this and your wight may hae only dropped 2-3 lbs. |

I'm not sure I understand your question. If you want to be thinner and cut back on food intake and/or exercise, you will eventually lose weight. If you're getting caught up in numbers on the scale, it's time to take a good look at what the consequences of being thinner can be.......and why you want to subject yourself to this. |
