Drink water when you feel hungry or chew low fat bubble gum.

First drink glass of water (not tap water) 30 minutes before eating then another one one hour after eating, then one every 30 minute's afterwards. It's water your body needs. Not food.

Good question. I don't really have craving i just eat. Sometimes it's like I neeeed to eat.

Your body is a small child, it just wants a a fix quickly. But if you give in and allow it then it will just come back twice as quick for more. The cravings are for fast release food, which gives a quick hit but is just as quick to disapear. You need to eat slow relase food and then the craving will not come, because there is a slow drip of energy which will last for hours not minutes like chocolate. Eat fruit, veg and other things. These take ages for the body to break down and keep you feeling full for so much longer.

I have a solution, for example.
Craving for chocolate: Eat chocolate = Craving gone, honest. You'll find that this works with all cravings and not just food. I find this works 100% of the time, in fact, i would go as far as saying, that this is a complete cure. I hoped this helped. Good luck.

chew sugar free gum, drink diet sodas, eat popcorn, or have the food that you are craving but only have half of the portion size you would normally have.

I used to be anorexic and bulimic (7 yrs ago-im fully recovered now) and I know a thing or two! The best thing I have ever learnt is DONT TRY TOO HARD!!! Eat until you are full, eat when u r hungry, but dont let food (or the lack of it) be the centre of ur life. Its ONLY FOOD.....if you slip up...u can start again....u are not going to ruin ur diet in just one "bad day", its impossible...dont feel disgusted with ur self....eat whatever u want and STOP when ur full. And NEVER NEVER tell urself "im on a diet"....as soon as u do this its like a switch flips on in ur brain telling u that food is scarce and u have to eat.....be patient and dont expect to lose all ur weight in 2 weeks.....never tell urself "im on a diet"....tell urself "Im eating healthily"....and then u will be more inclined not to obsess about food (or the lack of it) and hence you will lose weight and it will stay off....you will not be on the treadmill of "losing/gaining". Hunger is THE stongest instinct, its stronger than the sexul one (2nd strongest instinct) and fighting it is like fighting a losing battle or telling urself ur not tired when you are.....it just doesnt work.( I also studied eating disorders in my Alevel psychology)

It takes time for your body to realise you have eaten so drink some water for a bit afterwards or maybe some sugar free jelly (jello for those americans), and stay away from high sugars because once your sugar levels drop again after you eaten them it will make you feel really hungry again!

I'd suggest using replacement therapy such as whenever you feel the urge to eat something you wish to avoid, drink a glass or water or eat something healthy like a banana. Another method is to wear a tight elastic band around your wrist and every time you think about eating what you wish to avoid pull it back and let it hurt your wrist, your brain will soon associate thinking of the forbidden food with pain and you will stop craving for it.

Hope this helps

apparently cravings go away after 15minutes. if that doesnt work try drinking water or eating something healthy. or if you really cant resist, give in! but only have a little bit

I find that the best time to eat is after you exercise. During exercise your brain releases hormones called Endorphins that make you feel happy naturally. Usually happens after a good run or laughing. Then you feel energised after the exercise you've just done and the meal you have just eaten satisfies you leaving you without the craving to eat more.
Sometimes (i don't know in your case) but people eat when they are feeling low. 'Comfort eating'. To try and block out whatever is bugging them.
Maybe try and organise some activity after dinner like a walk or a phone call to somebody so it will keep your mind off food!

Sit in front of the computer and go on Yahoo answers! That's what I'm doing at the moment. Went to the gym, made my dinner - huge veggie stir fry with chicken and tiny bit of brown rice. Still bloody starving!

You shouldn't fight them. It is your body saying "give me more"

drink water when you feel hungry. don't watch TV because so many fast-food commercials. call friends and talk. don't buy junk food. don't go to the grocery store and don't walk the aisle for sugar. make yourself busy. don't sit around at home
go out side walk. do something.

First of all, stop calling it a fight, that only increases the tension and anxiety. eat smaller portions slower and more often...that does not mean all the time ! Then say to yourself that you have a choice...SAY IT... "I HAVE A CHOICE". That way you will be taking control, so when you are hungry you take control and then you choose to eat an apple or a carrot.
Just remember it is not a fight OK Good Luck !!

peace, man
Eat fruits, fresh & dried. Have them next to you all time. Eg. dried raisin can be carry in your pocket or hangbag all time.

do something to keep yourself busy...go for a walk, talk on the phone, clean. Get your mind preocupied with something else and you will forget all about them

If you eat little and often and have glass of water between, theres no reason at all for you to be hungry. Are you leaving it for hours before you eat again..? that wont help the weight loss either, because if you go into that mode, the body reacts by 'holding on to the fat, because it has no idea if or when the next food is coming' and THAT fat is the hardest to rid yourself of.
If you have a decent breakfast, then something at mid morning then lunch at midday 30 then afternoon snack at 315 then tea/dinner at 530-6 .... theres times in between those that if you need you can have water or mineral or juice... A lot of dieticians tell us, that sometimes when we think we are hungry, we arent really , we are thirsy. Thirst often presents as hungry, so you not alone there. But next time you feel hungry try having a glass of water... BUT DRUNK SLOWLY NOT GULPED

I used to think I was hungry at times, and go for the chocy. Cos its a quickfix and easier than waiting for potatoes or healthy food to be made ready. THIS was totally wrong and I learnt from that. But to get me off the chocolate...
Ladies, this works....

Dyou know what I did? Well ok you obvously dont and sorry to have asked such an outragously stupid question there, but...
I USED to (and this is now very much in the past) crave chocolate.
The way I did it, was...
First let me say that there is nothing worse to me to eat than STALE ryvita (originals) They taste like corrogated cardboard (not that Iv eaten any cardboard, corrogated or otherwise) but U understand where Im coming from yeah?

So if you LIKE ryvitas this wont work for you. If you dont, it will.
((If you do JUST FIND something else that would have the same effect the ryvita has on the haters of it.))

THEN

EVERYTIME you think you want chocolate, have a stale ryvita.
(You get them stale by leaving the packet open!!!)

Its a mind over matter thing that really does work..i know it does, cos I did it. So thats proof enough for me to be able to pass to you lot 100% plus!

Pretty soon, your brain will realise that it is asking for chocolate and you are giving it stale ryvitas, which it certainly doesnt like, so in the end your brain stops asking.
This takes about a week to a fortnight.

THAT was about 18mths to 2years ago and I did it. AND iv not touched chocolate since.

It works.
With some the time may be shorter, others will lapse and time will be longer.
If you lapse, DONT feel guilty about it, just start the count again... from after the guilty deed.

Eat a lemon. plus lemons help you lose weight by increasing metabolism rate.

P.S most answers hear speak of trying to trick your brain. A Lemon works best. trust me. try it and see.
