First off stop worrying about losing weight cause stress keeps it on and stop dieting try eating in smaller portions. Limit your starches and sugars and try getting low fat tasty treats like Quaker rice cakes.

The important thing is to do what everyone says not to do. You need to snack (healthy) That way your metabolism will stay consistant. You will lose weight and also feal better. You also need to write down what you eat. This way you can remember when you ate something unhealthy. My parents both lost 100 pounds on weight watchers. It shows you what to eat and how often to eat it. It really works.

First you have to be devoted to losing weight, I'd say keep a diet journal. Second don't eat a bunch of food during each meal. Your food should be in proportion sizes(look at the nutrition chart on all boxes, and what not) Also filling your self up with more liquid during you meal is not only healthier but can satisfy hunger(even though it may not seem like it, it does)...If you still feel hungry through out the day have a little healthy snack, something like an apple or wheat thins.

I've never been on a diet, but I have helped my sister a few times. I hope this was any help...Good luck

yeah, it's hard to stay on track, but find someone to diet with. when you want that cookie, they can be there to take it away haha. and if they want some french fries, you can be there for them to tell them it's not healthy.

believe me, it helps. and soon enough, you'll have results.

good luck! =]

ok dieting is hard i did and was able to suceed. i swear dieting is 90% mental. just as u catch urself going off track think about urself skinny and attractive, ask if u would rather been in shape or have the momentary satisfaction of carbs or whatever u are not supposed to be eating, just think about that. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Keep a food journal. Write down everything you put in your mouth. Soon you will see when you get off track and can be aware of what your triggers are. Good luck on your weight loss.

Well, it's not like you forget you need to diet. I think the general tendancy is to avoid pain or anything uncomfortable. So, it's easy to fall back to doing what you've been doing for most of your life -- to not put much thought into what you're eating. Or eating for the wrong reasons -- that means eating for any reason other than hunger.Dieting is ALL about behavior modification. You Have to know and think about what you're doing, why you're doing it and what the consequences will be because you did it.. If you get off track, you face the consequences of feeling that you've failed and trashing the whole diet (which doesn't reinforce your good behavior of being on the diet), allows you to rationalize eating forbidden foods since you've already "blown it" and having to start from square one all over again. Not staying on track may be a self-defeating behavior reinforcing your lack of self-esteem (I really don't deserve to be any better/slimmer/more popular) or lack of confidence (I can't do it anyway, I'll never succeed at this, It's too much work for just me alone). Positive affirmatiions like: I deserve this, I'm strong, beautiful/pretty/athletic/a good________________/I want to lose weight b/c_______________, I can call these ppl to encourage me when I feel weak or unworthy________________________. Remember, do it for you, not some guy/girl or to outdo another friend (or enemy). They won't always be around you........You will!!

I think...
I have the same problem. Try keeping a journal or using sights like thebiggestlooser.com. I'm always loosing my lists and schedules, and I'm always printing off things twenty different times because I've lost them.

If you do keep a journal, be honest -- that's the number one mistake anyone can make.
Even me.

Keep a diary ...
Count calories - NOT OBSESSIVLY - Give yourself a limit for each meal and snacks - aim for about 1500.
It always helps to have a plan ... and goals
You can always put a really bad picture of you on the fridge (looking fat), so everytime you go near it you think 'No, I dnt want to be like that.'

Good Luck ... and you're not alone!

SAME WITH ME!!! but i've heard that if you write down, for each day, everything you ate-whether it was licking a spoon or having a big meal-write it down. Same with exercising.

You could write on a sheet of paper
Email yourself
Keep a mini pocket/purse calendar
Keep a notebook or journal

Good luck!... I should start doing the same. I've been trying to lose weight since i was like 9, but NOTHING seems to work... i've tried so much!!! ****.... i g2g.
