Pretty much just fast for a day - just drink water. That ought to do it.
I think marathon runners lose an average of 10 lbs during the course of their run. Maybe you should take up running. ;)

I should lose 2 or 3 today...only eat a light breakfast and a small dinner. I still dont know how people eat breakfast lunch and dinner. I usually eat one and two if I am really hungry that day

most people gain and/or lose up to 5 pounds a day. step on a digital scale first thing in the morning and last thing at night-- you'll see that it is true!

First, don't stop eating? Eat a good breakfast but in small portions. Your stomach is a bag, the more you put the more it expands. The less you eat, the less your stomach will groul. Stomach is also a timer, it will ask you for food everyday at the same time. Lunch and Dinner the same thing. Stop eating big amounts of food!!!! and don't eat anything in between. Suspend all grease, sugar, and boil your meats. Walking is your the best exercise. I wish you luck!

I read in one of my medical Q&A books that by starving yourself if it is possible to lost 1 pound in a day. This isn't certain though, as it also depends on metabolism, physical activity etc.
The Doctor answers that fasting for one day, living on fruit juices can be beneficial for the mind - spiritual awareness and clarity. It can be beneficial sometimes to the body, having a detox effect.
This should be done infrequently though, as nobody would ever recommend picking up anorexic eating habits to lose weight. So please don't try it! ):

With no help from any medications. Just simple activities. Keep busy and active. Most importantly eating healthy. A great fat eater, as they are known as, are vegetables such as brustle sprouts and salad with NO salad dressing. Extras are what you want to stay away from. Like,salad dressing, dipping sauces, mustard, relish, any kind of pop, vegetable sauce, MAYONNAISE, JUNK FOOD OF ANY KIND. Basically keep to a strict diet until you've reached your desired weight. You don't have to go to the gym and work really hard if your only goal is to lose only a pound a day. But set a routine. Walk, jog, bike or the most effective way of loosing weight without having to lift a single weight is....swimming. Swimming is very use full for people trying to stay in shape, tone their body or just simply to lose a little bit of weight. Swimming targets all of the muscle groups because it takes the cooperation of all of your body to swim. After you have acheived your goal don't think your work is done yet. To keep your shape you will have to always remember, SELF CONTROL is key and to realize that even though it may be very tasty doesn't neccesarily mean you have to eat it. And if you absolutly have to eat it remeber the word moderation and how hard you had to work and everything you had to sacrifce because you got to comfortable and ate with no regards for the potentially harmfull and or imbarrising, aggrivating situation your poor eating habbits put you in. Don't forget how hard you had to work to get there once you reach that point. Persistency is key and always remember to drink lots of liquid, e.i., water. NO LATE NIGHT SNAKS. You don't have to listen to me but any other trainer will tell you the same exact thing. It all depends on how bad you want it!!
