Help trying to lose weight what do u think?
okay so i am trying really
hard to lose weight
but i always have that voice
that says ' wouldn't u like a candy bar'
and i always end up overdoing it
any encouragement
anyone else have that problem
if so what helped you?

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS DON'T EAT ANYTHING WHITE. No RICE, POTATOES, PASTA, BREAD. Sorry about caps.You can eat all the meat ,eggs, vegetables and fruit . You want be hungry. Its called a low carb. diet and it does work. Good Luck

yes, i am 14 and i weigh 103 pounds and im always trying to stop eating food. but stress causes fat, candy bars may help a little bit but its that voice of stress your hearing causing you to gain weight. dont worry anymore, enjoy food and enjoy life, forget stress!

Well, I don't know if this will work for you but it worked for me. When I was trying to loose weight I would always want junk food. So what I did is get pictures of women with really great bodies. I put the pictures on my refrigerator and when I wanted junk food I would look at the pictures and not want the junk food because I knew if I ate the junk food I would never get into shape. I don't know if this will work for you, but if it does not I'm sure you will figure something out!

just eat a little bit of that candy bar and keep reminding yourself that your trying to lose weight.

I give this answer a lot but for you I will expand on it a bit. Read Bill Phillips book Body For Life and check out his website bodyforlife.com. Okay, so now I will add that for me one reason I like Bill's program so much is because it's a 6 day on one day off schedule. Your one day off is a freeday that you can eat and drink anything you want. A freeday is needed for many reasons like just needing to indulge in life's pleasures but we need to control it a little better. That is hard to do when you actually start to look around and see how much we are bombarded with advertisements for everything from pop, pizza, beer, chips... all kinds of junk food. It's everywhere... T.V. , billboards, radio, newspapers, even in your mailbox. Anyway... check out Bill's book for much more encouragement and info on how to succeed. Oh.. one other thing, Bills program is set for 90 days. This was another reason I liked it so much.. I just thought to myself even if the 90 days totally sucked.. it's only 90 days. That's nothing and goes by very quick and it will be the same for you as me and hundreds of others who have got back into shape... once you finish the 90 days you will want to keep going. i,d say you have to set some sort of goal,like something you wanna do or something you wanna wear but cant do it until you lose the weight.something or someone has to be your motivation that will help you!

Yes, I love love love Reese's cups and I am trying to lose weight also. I just think of how I will feel tomorrow if I eat all those Reese's cups and I throw them away even if they are unopened .

I am going to compare it to my drinking problem. I know what it’s like to be tempted by something all the time. I cut back slow and learned to set limits. I allowed myself more in the beginning and less toward the end. Granted I relapsed for 2 weeks but picked up where I left off shortly after. It’s not easy and requires a lot of work. Allow yourself some unhealthy snacks and break them up over the day in to small portions and slowly go down from there. Keep a diary of goals and set limits. Spread it out over about 2 months and I think you will be successful. Yes you need to eat better and exercise more but that comes with time. If you start an exercise program full force you will likely get burned out and give it up . Small changes over time is the best i can tell ya. Good luck

exercise regularly for like 15 mins a day.

DON'T STARVE---cuz as soon as you eat something with tons of fat----it will go straight to you and will actually make you gain weight.

eat healthy foods that are low in fat and calories.

defnitley the first day that i started to diet a week later i tried again and as soon as i heard that noise i was i did somthing bad to the candy so that it made me say gross i do not want to eat that candy or if you reallllllllyyyy are hungry for it then you can eat it but before the clock reaches 7:00 becouse then those caleries add up. hope thi helps!!!!!

i had this problem too!.
i lost a lot of weight though, eat lots and lots of protein and less carb.
eat
-eggs [not all the time because it gets unhealthy if u over eat it]
-steak
-chicken
basically any meat
-if you want a snack eat some fruit or peanut butter on a spoon.
-stay away from greasy stuff like fries.
it's okay to eat carb just not a lot. try spaghetti, sandwiches, etc..
and exercise atleast 30 minutes everyday and try not to sit down as much.
btw. drink nothing but water, and sometimes juice

I lost 23 pounds by cutting out fast food and chain restaurants. I've tried every diet under the sun and ended up losing the weight almost by accident. Eat an all-natural diet,(no chemicals and little packaged food) don't restrict or cut out any food groups and you WILL lost weight.

No offence towards you whatsoever. But Its about control, just try your hardest to supress that voice. And when you do then It'll be easier once you have done it before. Also Promise yourself a candy bar after you work on your exercise or what you are doing to help you loose weight. But again this is learning self control not to over do it. I'll hopefully become more easy ^^

Yes I think we have all been there at one time or another. Don't starve yourself but eat a healthy diet of lots of vegetables and fruit , small portion of meat and bread, take a multivitamin With Minerals .Drink lots of water, it is good for your health, skin and nails Exercise by walking, riding bike or swimming. And when you hear that voice telling you to eat a candy bar say no thank-you I rather be thin and health.

ok i think that loosing weight isn't about how much you eat...it is the things that you eat, so just hire a nutricionist or something.

What really worked for me (losing 45 pounds in 3 months last year) was B-12 shots and Phentermine (I think that is how you spell it) prescribed by a doctor and eating 1200 caloreis a day. So if you're not hungry you can eat the candy bar and thats all for the day or whatever else you want as long as it doesn't go over 1200 calories. Grant it, it may not be the healthiest way but it does work. Check in your area for a weight loss doctor.

i see ya prob. it's like u tryn to lose weight and then ur cravin 4 sumthin good and when u eat it you feel guilty...but u keep doin it over and over...my suggestion

.eat 3 times a day!
for breakfast eat as many as you can but below 300 calories and like alot of vegies or fruits...=]]]
.excersize for at least an hour and dont over do excersize!!!(Sit Ups 30 times and 2-3 mile walk or jog)
.For lunch eat something 500 calories and down but not junk food or chocolate, but sumthin heathy.
.Dinner eat food below 500 calories..

DONT SIT AFTER EATING! Stand up for 10min....

when you are hungry, brush your teeth. it makes you loose your apatite because everything taste different when you eat after brushing your teeth. also drink a lot of water about 6-8 cups and make sure you get exercise. also try chewing some sugar free gum when your hungry. also if you find something fun to do your mind will be set on that and not food. or you can try the achens diet. its an all meet and no carbs diet. but you can eat all vegetables other than potatoes and carrots. also no fruit. when your hundry for a chocolate bar jut grab some beef jerkey. try to keep up with it for a week and you will loose about 8 lbs.

yes i had that problem. but idk, i just somehow got over it.
i started running&biking, and eating healthier lunches, and people would tell me even after just a few weeks that i got thinner, and that motivated me, and i realized that i really didnt want that candy, & that i could like live without it. ya know?sorry if that kinda makes no sense..
try making a promise to yourself that you'll only have a candybar [for example] twice a week or so.
