Kissing a smoker of any kind is like licking an ashtray.
Your clothes smell to high heaven and is a HUGE turn off.
Your teeth turn yellow and looks like crap.
Your money can be spent better elsewhere.
A smoker's cough is disgusting.
Your fingers and nails get discolored which is disgusting.
Want to know what your lungs look like? Look inside a fireplace. See all that black soot? That is what the inside of your lungs look like.

It;s very easy to come up with lots of reasons smoking is a REALLY bad idea.... smelly breath, being an increasingly isolated social pariah, stained teeth and fingers, reduced sex drive, premature wrinkles all over your face, reduced lung function and endurance, smoker's cough, emphysema, Moocho dinare (ever stop to add up how much goes up in smoke every year from your hard-earned dollars?) and of course the Big C....to name a few: but actually breaking the addiction is another kettle of fish entirely: some can just walk away after years and years, while other try a hundred times and never make it stick. There are thousands of "quit smoking" plans and ideas out there - finding one that will work for YOU is a tough job!! I would say: ask yourself what;s more important: your life or your addiction? Smoking is a way of killing yourself - slowly and unreliably, but it gradually takes more and more of your life from you. Is this what you want? If not, find a way that you think will work for you, and DO IT NOW: not tomorrow. Take all the support your friends offer in such a tremendously important and difficult matter, and use it without hesitation or shame - you would help them if you got the chance to, after all what are friends for!! You will all be a lot happier when you win.

A lot of the time, it hurts the people around you more than yourself. You're slowly killing your children, your wife, your family.
Smoking costs a lot of money. And gas prices are up.
Smoking makes people irritable and argumentative.
You'll die early. How would that affect your friends and family?
To me, smoking makes people less.... approachable. Not sure if that's the right word.
Well, good luck. Hope you can stop!

Smoking is gross. I'm an attractive woman who takes care of herself. I was involved with a man who smoked and it was horrible. I felt like I was going to die of cancer because of all the second hand smoke he blew in my face. He just didn't care. He rolled his own and drove my car and made it stink and dumped a huge can of tobacco in my driver's seat and never bothered to clean it up. Not only did he ruin my car with the mess and stink, he also bored me to tears. Spending all night outside of a restaurant or bar freezing to death because he had to get a tobacco fix really sucked. His teeth were brown, his fingers were yellow, and his breath reeked. Finally I dumped him. I am a loving, understanding, giving person but for once I had to put myself first. I just figured, hey, I work out, I eat right, I've never done a drug, why should I put up this? What's the point? I'm now happy with a NON-smoker!

It annoys almost everyone, and makes you less desirable both as a friend or date.
You smell like crap, and if you share anything that you drink or eat off of, it tastes gross.
About 430,000 deaths per year are linked to cigarette smoking; more Americans are killed each year by cigarettes than by alcohol, car crashes, suicide, AIDS, homicide, and illegal drugs combined.
Ambergris, otherwise known as whale vomit, is one of the hundreds of possible additives used in manufactured cigarettes. Radioactive lead and polonium are both present in low levels in cigarette smoke.Hydrogen cyanide, one of the toxic byproducts present in cigarette smoke, was used as a genocidal chemical agent during World War II.
Half of all long-term smokers will die a tobacco-related death.
And one of the biggest reasons; there are no positives to smoking.

Smoking increase you allergies and reduces your lung capacity. As time goes by you will notice that you can't walk up stairs without wheezing, a pain in your chest when you breath, sinus closed up and unable to breath, coughing more often especially when you wake up, cough up blood and phlem (old man hack), bad breath, smelly clothes, the smoke will saturated the walls in your house where no matter what paint you use will seep through just to start.
Plus, you can go through what I went through and have part of your lung removed, because I coughed so much I ruptured a part of my lung. What they do is make 3 incisions on the side of your chest and stick a tube in one and tools in the other. The cut part of your lung out and sew it up. Then you get to walk around with a tube in your chest for 24 hours. After that it takes at least a year for the pain to go away once you relearn how to breath. Then you get to spend the rest of your life in pain when you breath air. If you get cancer then they have to operate on both lungs.

1. It cause you too many health problems in life.
2. It is offensive to innocent non-smokers in public.
3. It makes you stink like an ashtray after smoking.
4. It makes your teeth stained tobacco yellow.
5. To get girls/women, do you really think we like 2 and 3?
6. That kiss that you'll never forget, doesn't happen when your breath stinks and mouth tastes like a cigarette. If you haven't had that kiss yet that I'm talking about, then it is past time to quit.
7. Who wants to be shunned to the corner or outside to the
smoking area when dining out and such?
8. You'll feel better.
O.K, so I added a few, just thought I'd give you as many reasons as I could since you evidently want to quit or you wouldn't be asking for help. Quitting is mostly the habit not the addiction after the first week. Try Cinnamon tooth picks to hold in your mouth and keep a pen or pencil handy to hold in your fingers when having that urge. If you can beat it mentally then you'll be successful. I wish you all the luck. I really hate seeing a nice looking guy and thinking "Wow, he's cute." and then see that cigarette whipped out. My heart sinks. I would much rather kiss a guy that has clean teeth and fresh breath. Wouldn't you want the same in a sexy woman? Good Luck?

Just think of the benefits it gives you, and see if they are worth the risks/effects to your body that come with smoking. Here are a few reasons to quit.
1. Reduce your risk of getting Lung Cancer.
2. Reduce your risk of having a heart attack.
3. Get rid of all of the coughing that it causes you.
4. You will not be a slave to smoking, you will have more control over your life.
5. If you enjoy running or being active you will have more energy and be able to breath much better.
6. You will look younger longer.
7. You will not smell like cigarettes. If you are single that is a big benefit.
8. When you quit smoking take all the money you would spend on cigarettes and put it in a jar everyday. For you 10-15 a day. Then after you have quit for one year take the money out and treat yourself to something nice.

Keep smoking and you will look like 62 when your 42! Your skin wrinkles up and bruises and tears easier. You health deterioates quickly, no resistance.
You will have to give up participating in activities over 2500 feet elevation unless you take oxygen with you. You will get worse than you already know you have. You know you need to quit or you wouldn't be here. You have bad breath, Look stupid with a cig in your mouth and what do your kids learn by looking at you smoke? The Ladies don't like it!
Give it up!!!
Start breathing again!!! Go to a doctor if you need extra help. I used black licorce to help me quit.......11 years ago July !!!!!
Good luck!!!!

You really need five? Avoiding an early, really painful slow death isn't enough? Trust me, I have cancer-- lymphoma. They say it's one of the best ones to have. It's most curable and least painful. Chemo itself is hellish, not to mention all the infections I get from the low white blood cell count. I was on death's door last weekend just from bronchitis. I've been out of work and on disability since November. This is the best case scenario. I can't imagine having one that is not only painful, but it restricts your breathing. It most be hell on Earth.

I can't convince you to quit something that you know is harming you. If you have a wife and children that are living with you, you are hurting them, too, but if that hasn't stopped you yet, it probably won't now. It has to come from within.
I guess one thing that happens when you get as old as I am you see things you probably didn't see when you were 32. Things like a close friend who retires, moves to a wonderful new home and is looking forward to his future only to find out a year later that he has stage 4 cancer and probably won't live more than a couple of months. When you are young, you think of older people as having lived their lives and when it's their time, then it's their time. Trust me, as you age you realize there is still more life in you than you thought. You aren't ready in your 60s to have it all end. Just think how differently you see things now from how you saw them at 18 or 20.
Smoking increases the chances that you won't have a long healthy life. The older you get, the more important your health will be to you. You can start to make the difference now, but that choice is up to you.
Good luck. I hope you manage to quit.

Here's some good reasons to quit -
More than 400,000 deaths in the U.S. each year are from smoking-related illnesses. Smoking greatly increases your risks for lung cancer and many other cancers.
If you were to quit smoking you could taste and smell food better. Your breath smells better. The cough goes away.
Quitting smoking saves money. A pack-a-day smoker, who pays $2 per pack can, expect to save more than $700 per year.
Here's a website that tells alot of more facts. Hope it helps. :)
http://dccps.nci.nih.gov/TCRB/Smoking_Facts/about.html
Good luck with giving it up :) I hope it works out for you. It'll make a huge difference in life if you do.

2. Decreased lung function.
3. Increased risk of copd- chronic bronchitis and emphysema
4. Increased risk of tooth decay, periodontal disease, oral cancer, throat cancer
5. Increased risk of heart disease, such as heart attacks

I gave up smoking exactly 1 month today and I'm so proud of myself, all it takes is a big dose of willpower which you have in you, you just need to find it, plus there is many good reasons to give up
1. no more catarrh, especially when you wake up in the morning and its stuck to your throat, you cough up and it's all brown and green and gross
2. walking up a flight of stairs is a breeze and you can catch the bus/train no bother at all
3. you don't stink of stale cheese anymore after coming in from outside, I've recently noticed how much smokers stink and it really is disgusting
4. count up the money you would save in a year and I bet you could afford an extra holiday a year
5. you will live until you are supposed to, give your body a chance to live a full happy life without a lung falling out or getting the big C
6. the list goes on...wrinkles, spots, bad breath, even your wallpaper will last longer! imagine what it's doing to your body
I have every faith you can do it, be strong and good luck!
