i know water is good for you but can it bloat me and how many regualr sized bottles can i drink a day

um ya susan, obviously i know water is good for you so no im not an idiot and obviously i know macdonalds is bad i was talkign about if water makes you bloated (how much) so umm ya thanks tipps on that one.

water does not fatten you. it helps with the digestion of foods and many other things in the body. drink as much as possible or dehydration could be a factor.

If you don't drink enough water to keep your body hydrated then it will begin to store water and you will become bloated. In order to lose the bloat you need to drink water and a lot of it, that way your body doesn't feel like it needs to store water.
They say 8 glasses of water...and that's about average, but if you really want to stay healthy you should take your weight in pounds divide it by two and drink that many ounces a day. So if you weigh 200 pounds you should drink 100 ounces a day...about 12.5 bottles of water, it sounds like a lot, but the 8 glasses is based on a person weighing about 130 pounds.
You can include coffee and tea in your calculations.

You could be retaining water, in which case you can sweat that off. You should drink 6-8 water bottles a day. The regular small ones, not the teeny or huge ones.

Your kidneys should be able to handle the amount of water that you drink (they control your fluid balance)--so you should not get bloated, unless something else is going on (hot day, hormones etc) and then it should be temporary.

they say oonly to drink like 3 8ounce glasses of water a day thats all you need so 3 regular bottles of water are good a day thats it...other then that youll be hitten the potty every 5 mins lol

Where did you hear that? Water does not make you fat at all, it actually fastens your metabolism. You should drink atleast 2 bottles a day.

There are no calories in water. Aim for 8-10 cups of water (64-80 oz.) Just don't go too overboard or you can get sick.

i've read we are meant to drink at least a litre and a half evry day. i dont drink water tho cause of all the salt, sugar and fat. i drink coco cola much better. dont listen to anyone who says you can drink as much as you like, you can actually overdo it which will make you ill. check out link. was joking about coke.

Food (calories) makes you fat!! if you tend to retain fluids than water can make you appear heavier (bloated), try a diuretic to eliminate the extra fluid (or sweat it off by exercising). But keep drinking water. your body needs it to stay healthy.

No, water does not make you fat.


Just don't drink too much, if you drink too much water then you hyperhydrate. More below.

"When you “hyperhydrate,” you can get a condition called hyponatremia. With hyponatremia, water dilutes the sodium in your bloodstream. This condition can be very dangerous because sodium plays a major role in the fluid balance of cells. Symptoms of hyponatermia may be mild and can include bloating, nausea, headaches, and vomiting. More severe symptoms can include coma, brain swelling, respiratory arrest, and death."

You can have water weight which will make you feel fat, but you're body can't turn it into fat because there's nothing to it. You can actually fill up on it before meals and that helps reduce your appetite when you're dieting. I think you're supposed to drink about three regular sized bottles daily.

Water does not make you fat. If you have too much sodium (salt) in your diet however, it will cause you to retain water in your system, making you actually gain wait and feel swollen.

Nope, there are no calories in it. It can make you bloated -- and therefore put on water weight -- if you have too much salt, though, (check the labels on what you eat because a lot of things are surprisingly salty even if they don't taste so) because salt causes you to retain water.

You're supposed to drink at least 64oz of water a day.

Water is also good because, the more you drink, the more it flushes toxins from your body and contributes to good health.

80 oz per day is about right. Thats 5 16oz bottles. Water doesn't make you fat at all but can add weight - but the weight is not permanent.
